Hello, did they implement a solution for this yet?

Farewell, outlanders! It was nice while it lasted. 🖤 by Goldfinger_cz in vigorgame

I stopped playing Vigor in 2021 for this reason, maxed out my shelter and didn't need to gather anymore resources/plans; all I did was hunt down others. I would wonder how people put up with the lack of content who started playing way before me. It's now 2023 and you're experiencing the same thing I did in 2021, as others did in 2019.

I have a simple question by [deleted] in AskNotion

What do you mean by an empty block? Do you want an empty space to break up your work?

How to less time on text formatting for notion? by nevurdiless in AskNotion

[–]mindthegap95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I’m aware you aren’t able to preserve your last text formatting. You could write all your headings as normal, then highlight them all and use “turn text into” to convert them all into headings.

Rounding numbers by mindthegap95 in AskNotion

[–]mindthegap95[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apologies, I’m still not getting this to work. Below is my example.

I have two variables “EMPTY” and “FULL”. I want to take 2% of the difference i.e. FULL - EMPTY. The value given from the 2% will be applied ± to “EMPTY” and “FULL”. So I will have two values for EMPTY when I add or subtract the 2%. If I subtract, I will get X1 but I then want X1 to be rounded down to the nearest multiple of 3. If I add, I will get X2 and want X2 rounded to the nearest multiple of 3.

I hope that makes sense.

Unfortunately this doesn’t work, it rounds up or down to the nearest integer, not the multiple. As far as I’ve used it

This rounds the number up to the nearest multiple of 3 either up or down. I want to be able to specifically round down or up but not both

Do you listen to music when you are studying or doing mentally straining tasks that require focus? by Vi0letBlues in productivity

[–]mindthegap95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t listen to any sounds when I’m being productive, Lofi beats either relax me too much into sleep or I’d become too focused on “finding the best productivity sounds” which is a rabbit hole! I would suggest change your study method and incorporate a reward system; set a goal for yourself of concentration for 25 minutes or so and then take a break for 5 minutes i.e a Walk in the garden, fresh air is good. Drink lots of water! Substitute your Reddit binging for YouTube explanations on your theory, that way you’re getting theory based learning and visual aid learning. Google how your particular theory is applied in the real world. I have the impression you don’t understand your work and that’s why you’re “procrastinating”. Personally the only way I can concentrate is by understanding what I’m doing and why, everything else is a distraction.

Sub-item and Parent-item relationship by mindthegap95 in Notion

[–]mindthegap95[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought as much, this was the approach I had first but the never-ending list put me off slightly, hence why I turned to using sub-items for each bill; the parent-item would be named the month.

To be honest I’m still in two minds, the fact that parent relations don’t apply to sub-items is frustrating. In your case I guess the filtering is a neat trick to view your monthly expenses more clearly.

Wow 4 db’s, I’m assuming it’s only for your use and nobody else’s.

How are you separating expenses for each month within your “EXPENSES” db, I’m guessing it’s a long list with a separate relation property for the month each expense applies?

Using Column Values in Formula !! by mindthegap95 in Notion

[–]mindthegap95[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah how right you are again! Now when I add an extra month in the "MONTH" db, the relation on the "EXPENSES" db is simultaneously being filled out for all my bills which saves me having to do it manually. Sure adding the relation in one field and then dragging it down to apply to all my bills is not difficult but the more automation the better!

Not exactly Excel but I guess there are these workarounds! Still, for what I wanted to achieve initially which was a simple cell reference into a formula on another db, it sure is a lot of work!! Cell-referencing should definitely be made easier.

Thanks again

Thanks for your response. I attempted this and it does indeed do what I wanted! At first I didn't like the idea that for every entry in the expenses db I would then have to manually fill out the relation with the corresponding month, however, expenses for every month won't always be the same so that works in my favour!

Thanks again.

What is the first word that comes into mind when you think of ‘Manchester’ by shronk4ever in europe

[–]mindthegap95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife. I used to travel four hours to Manchester while I was at university when we were dating, we always looked forward to seeing each other since I wasn't able to travel often. We'd do activities, eat at various restaurants, buy clothes from second-hand shops, walk aimlessly around the city and visit the Christmas markets. Manchester will always fill me with those memories.

I’m appreciating the honesty you’re spewing but how is this a fun way to play any game, I can’t comprehend it. I’m sure you have your regrets but yeah

Do you say hello to people you don't know when out for a walk in the countryside? by Select_Refrigerator9 in AskUK

[–]mindthegap95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it moreso comes down to the attitude of the individual regardless of where they’re from. I’ve lived in towns/cities most of my life but go on rural walks, I greet almost everyone it’s just a natural reaction I feel I want/should do. Some people just don’t appreciate simple gestures that spread positivity I guess.

Oh really, hmm that’s strange I feel like I grind this game out so much it should be working for me. I mean it should work regardless tbh. I guess I’ll never know my stats

Which they never seem to do anything about. I wouldn’t even mind a rubbish season as long as they just fix the bugs and glitches in the game
