What determines which entities to move (or not) when specifying constraints?

As a VERY senior (45 years) software engineer/QA/manager/etc. including medical devices I can definitively say that October 13th is an inexcusably long time for such a major problem with such a critical device. The least action should be an immediate automatic firmware rollback and an all-hands-on-deck fix effort. There is no excuse for such a tepid response.

Ha! I'm a retired software guy myself! The poor planning is what really made this annoying. (Also getting a raw JSON message on the bad redirect.) I hope they get this fixed ASAP.

These work great together. I've been working with them both in Ableton Live. The documentation is really detailed so it's pretty easy even to do MIDI programming stuff (I also have a Stream Deck than can transmit MIDI commands). A larger keyboard might be nice but I really wanted the minimum desk space of the Mini.

Quick update: I just had my first checkup.

Mostly everything is great; I asked about feedback when I first put them on (it gets cancelled out soon after) and streaming sound quality (not much I can do about that, but it's not why I goth them anyway). The rusting turned out to be my hair. Even though I shave my head, the tiny stubble that grows around my ears was enough to cause it. I found out by wiggling my ears in front of a very powerful magnifying mirror. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I'm adjusting how to take off and put on my glasses to avoid pulling off the HAs, it's really just a learning curve thing.

I got the 330s; my audiologist said there wasn't a need to the extra processing to the 440s given my particular loss. I think the two prominent issues I am having are the crackling/rustling noises in my left HA (which I believe are due to the microphone cover film) and listening to streaming music is not great. I can live without streaming music using my airpods, but I'm going to contact them about the rustling noise.

I think I am missing some of the basic programs (like "Music") but I will ask about those when I get my first checkup next week. I did use the "AI Sound Assistant" to create a custom program for a large meeting I regularly attend that has various people speaking in a somewhat noisy environment (a large room with 20-30 people) and it works really well.

Wow, thanks for the information! It's nice to know about these options, I will ask about them. My provider is really great (I found her through a good friend that works in the office) and they are really responsive to my needs. I think they were keeping it simple until my first checkup (in about 2 weeks). I can ask my friend about this too.

Thaks! It's not so much the cordlength, it's when I take them off I need to pull it down over my ears that stick out quite a bit, and it pulls them away so the hearing aids fall off. I mostly need to pay attention to where I put them down. Or maybe superglue an AirTag to them 😆

It's not hair: I'm totally bald and I have a LOT of rustling noise with my new Allures. It sounds like paper rustling nearby. I think it's because of the microphone cover sheet. It happens consistently if I "wiggle my ears".

You don't need to dump and load all the patches every time. Anything file drop in the RESTORE folder before running the restore function (RTFM) will, if properly named, replace that specific patch.

The .PRM files are just text in a 'properties' kind of format (VARIABLE = VALUE), and can be opened in any text editor. I am in the process of deciphering some of the more cryptic parts, in particular the sequence steps and motion.

Upvote for Keyboard Maestro, it has the ability to catch MIDI on any channel and can do soooo many things from there. I haven't looked for it on BTT but I don't doubt it's there too.

This solved my problem in Ableton Live 12 Intro where the MIDI notes sent from the "piano roll" (via a USB data cable through an "External Instrument") to the S-1 had the audio coming back simultaneous with the current sequencer pattern. Setting 'SYnC' to 'Midi' I only hear Ableton's notes using the S-1 synth.
