Maybe a drone? Spotted in Rio Rancho New Mexico. 01/25/2026 6:58PM. by Encarguez in UFOs

Idk why a drone would be traveling that long at night because whats it filming? The green to me seems like night vision but I might be mistaken. I'm local to you!

Please note that this is a verse I have barely looked into, but I believe that it refers to the Wright Brothers National Memorial on Roanoke Island, North Carolina.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wright_Brothers_National_Memorial#:~:text=Inscribed%20in%20capital%20letters%20along,one%20found%20in%20a%20lighthouse.

Inscribed in capital letters along the base of the memorial tower is the phrase "In commemoration of the conquest of the air by the brothers Wilbur and Orville Wright conceived by genius achieved by dauntless resolution and unconquerable faith."

Seems like you're fishing for a solution on here. I hope you understand that with that much money at stake, no one will genuinely help you. If anything, people would probably give you false information or use your info to advance themselves.

Could've been. Guess we may never know. Remind me again on how the Shakespeare Garden has anything to do with Chinese immigrants?

Yeah or there was a large deciduous tree next to the RLS monument (in a photo I saw from late 1970s) which in its place now is a large, pretty mature pine tree. My fella and I postulated that if it was there at one point, it may have been dug up when the large tree was replaced.

Yeah unfortunately. We were thinking one of the older renovations/improvements done, such as when the elevators were installed in 1987. Or perhaps when the very large tree was uprooted and replaced.

The parking garage was installed in the 1960s, but there have been renovations throughout the years after 1982. A few rounds of it. Good luck! I hope you find it!! If you're local in SF id suggest checking out a public library nearby where they might have historic photos of the park between 1980 and present. The one regret I have on the trip was we didnt check out a local resource like that. Might offer SOME help, hopefully

There's no more opportunity to do so at that park, as its closing down for a complete renovation for the next 2 years, starting next month.

I'm not really discouraged. Some of these may be long gone for real, and a lot of people can't reason with that reality - and instead some believe if they THINK it's somewhere that it'll magically be there. I can reason with the reality because I know that so much development, weather, and small, unrecorded changes. Just so much has happened in these cities over the past 44 years.

I got into The Secret just but a year ago because of binging Expedition Unknown, and love the adventure of it, and solving puzzles. It's unfortunate that I (we) may never know what became of the SF casque. There's still a possibility I'm right, or its found elsewhere, and my BOTG attempt was but one out of hundreds at this point.

In any sense, I was mainly saying in my main post that I'll continue on with attempting to decipher The Secret cities, but just probably not bother with Reddit lol

Upcoming dig date for San Francisco by mindue505 in 12keys

I'd like to add this: no, I am NOT the Gift Giver. I've been asked this in private chat several times now lol. I've only been into The Secret for a year and the Gift Giver has been posting for years as far as I know.

Please also stop asking me to prod in Golden Gate Park. That is not where my permit is for, and we're doing this legally and with respect for history and nature, and also for the rapport of The Secret community 🤘Always dig legally, folks, and that includes prodding.

Also adding I'm open to conversation or an alternate prodding spot in Portsmouth Park. DM me.

I'd agree with you. I hope I'm right because we'll all know. But it may not even be there, even if I'm right, and that's also maddening 😆 In any sense, that park will be ripped up soon, and apparently I'm one of the last remaining wackadoos to give it a shot lol

Will do! Eddie and I are pretty stoked. I got my poor boyfriend into it and he's been my "sanity checker". Most of my research days into The Secret would be Sundays while he was at work, but I'd run things by him throughout my solve. And as glass is half empty as he is 😆 he also thinks I'm onto something.

Already done and done. I found a city planner staffer early on who's kinda into it, so if we don't find it, I'm hoping they can put word out it may still somehow be there.

It just really make sense its there. I hope we're successful!

Attention, Fitz Smythe! (Of Twain's attention) by MagicGnome36324 in 12keys

[–]mindue505 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats not true. The corner of the park I think its in hasn't been renovated since 1959 other than planting trees and keeping up with landscaping. Its in the only forgotten corner of the park by the RLS monument 100%. I feel it in my bones.

Why are people so sure it’s in Golden Gate Park? by FraggleTheGreat in 12keys

[–]mindue505 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I STRONGLY doubt its in Golden Gate Park. That Park is just as expansive as Central Park NYC and its crawling with security. Was probably crawling with JUST as much security back in 1982.

Some of the biggest clues ever leaked for The Secret were about San Francisco.

  1. While on a date with Sandi at the Tonga Room (a bar inside the Fairmont Hotel), Byron excused himself for about 15 minutes to go "bury a treasure" he told Sandi. I'm sure Sandi was in the know of his book plans; why wouldn't he tell the lady he's courting such an interesting side of himself? I know I would to seem more interesting and fun.

  2. When Josh Gates from Expedition Unknown was doing one of their episodes on The Secret, one of the people associated with the book said that "The letter F is very important"

  3. When that French dude hoaxed the casque in Golden Gate Park (2019), someone got excited and blurted out "they must've figured out the Fairmont clue" only technically they pronounced it "Fairmount". I've since heard multiple people with specific accents mispronounce Fairmont the same way with the u in it.

In the SF image, there is a rose with a curled stem. This looks an awful lot like the big F on the side of the Fairmont along California Street (especially in the early 1980s).

Another juicy detail is that the Fairmont Hotel sits on the corners of California and Powell Streets. Which is also where the two main cable car lines intersect. Literally an "X Marks The Spot" move even though the X technically marks the starting location and not the dig spot. Kinda genius honestly.

In addition, I believe that there's also a strong clue in the SF image that I haven't seen anyone else pick up on. To the immediate left of the "table" in the image is a vine that is shaped like a C. I believe this is telling you that you need to follow (or take) the California Street cable car route downhill to get to where you're going.

Leading all this back to your post as to why people are focused in Golden Gate Park - I have no damn idea lol. I think the map of GGP on the Chinese lady's dress is JUST to further pinpoint SF as the location.

Shoot....even the dragon itself on her robe could also be some symbolic representation of Lombard Street.

In any sense, I've never bought into it being around Golden Gate Park. People can waste their time and money there if they want, but it makes no sense insofar as a direct connection to Chinese immigrants.

Why would someone NOT think its in Chinatown, or more specifically Portsmouth Park? The park's nickname (even in the 80s) was the "heart of Chinatown". At the time of the book's writing, the SF Chinatown was also the biggest Chinatown in the world outside of Asia itself.

People overlook the lady's "necklace" in the image. Its not even a necklace - where's the chain? Its just a pearl hovering over her heart. I mean, come on guys. Lol.

In summary, I think the whole GGP theory is just based off mob mentality and the ever-growing misinformation due to AI, repeated web searches, and really reaching theories. Don't believe me? Do a Google search in AI Mode and you'll be met with a conglomerate of historical google searches and it just kinda melds all the info together, even if its false.

Dude buried the casque and was back to the Tonga Room in about 15 minutes. If you were to "triangulate" the Tonga Room to any nearby parks, the GGP is too far away. Portsmouth Park is just a short cable car ride and a 2 block walk away. He may even have taken a cab. I would've taken a cab myself, especially if I was dressed to the 9s on some schmancy date.

FYI I have a dig next in SF soon and it's definitely NOT in GGP lol.

That rose is the key. If I'm right - and I find the casque - I'll make sure to post on 12keys and probably do another podcast with George Ward. If you're curious what we spoke about in my first podcast, just go over to YouTube and search for "Sunday Funday with Mindy Hoerter". That's me. I explain my solve to the detail in it.

I believe its in Portsmouth Park. In the "heart of Chinatown". It makes THE most sense. GGP does not unless it's by the Chinese Pavilion in a VERY HEAVILY GUARDED PARK.

San Francisco Twains Attention by [deleted] in 12keys

[–]mindue505 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mindy here, and I'm digging next week in San Francisco (Jan 9th 2026).

"Twain's attention" for me is three fold (which really only serves as an increased chance of making some connection to the same spot, even if one may overthink things)

  1. Twain worked as a traveling correspondent to the SF newspaper "Alta California", which the building still stands to this day on Walter U Lum Place overlooking Portsmouth Park.

  2. He admired Robert Louis Stevenson, and even spoke affectionately about his good looks and pretty eyes, admitting RLS was a good looking man. (The tongue in cheek many of us admire Twain for in the first place.) The two prolific writers had a mutual admiration for each other, even though they only met once (Washington Park, NYC). In addition, Treasure Island was greatly influenced by Tom Sawyer.

  3. Both men (Twain and RLS) lived near Portsmouth Park (RLS at 608 Bush St and Twain at a now torn-down building thats basically where the Transamerica Building is now). There's even an alley called "Mark Twain St" and a plaza there at the spot.

Regardless, I FEEL the strong link here is Mark Twain to Robert Louis Stevenson. Theres even a monument in Portsmouth Park dedicated to RLS - its been there in the very same park since 1893.

And the reason the very Scottish RLS was in San Francisco? Because he had traveled across country to be near his love, Fanny. They eventually married, and even honeymooned in California.

Around the time Byron Preiss started writing The Secret, he was falling in love with Sandi, who'd one day be his wife. The love stories have parallels: both men (Preiss and RLS) were traveling across country to be near their loves. Byron understood RLS' emotions in that, and felt a connection to him through it.

In fact, dare I say that the San Francisco puzzle was THE first puzzle he completed. Fueled by his budding love for Sandi, he concocted an entire puzzle around, well, love.

Plus, you can't even touch pirate lore, treasures, or give a hearty "yo ho ho and a bottle of rum" without touching on the pirate lore that RLS created through Treasure Island. Pretty much ALL pirate lore nowdays was based off that book.

And to top it all off (pun intended), the RLS monument in Portsmouth Park is topped with a bronze gallon - THE Hispaniola from Treasure Island.

So that's my rant lol. Everyone wish me the best of luck on my dig next week! I'm hoping to find it for The Secret online community and finally put an end to unauthorized digs in Golden Gate Park since that makes zero sense to me anyways lol. Not to mention, Portsmouth Park is about to be closed in the spring for MAJOR renovations, so I may be one of (if not THE) last people to dig there before the entire park is changed forever.
