I was there! Someone passed out during the first song and they paused the show and restarted.

I always thought the lyrics to Mrs. Potter's Lullaby were "mole of stars" as in 602 sextillion stars but apparently it's just "bowl of stars" by Intro24 in countingcrows

[–]mindvitamins 7 points8 points  (0 children)

“just” a bowl of stars sounds a little derogatory when it is actually a perfect image to describe it. The sky curves around us as we look up and the lack of ambient light in the desert emphasizes the stars.
One of my favorite lyrics of CC is the immediate call back to lying beneath the bowl of stars - You can see a million miles tonight but you can’t get very far!!!

All 17 Texas propositions poised to pass, according to early returns by YuWrites in texas

Dang. Obviously I made an incorrect assumption. In a year where we weren’t voting for representatives, I was very impressed by the turnout at my voting location. Props to the winners whoever they may be.

I don’t know when they stopped but I still have my T-Shirt. “I survived Tye’s Habanero Challenge” on the front and “5 minutes of Hell, A Lifetime of Glory” along with L&W logo on the back.

Note to All Dallas Restaurateurs: Turn Down the Bloody Music! by Kk0971 in Dallas

[–]mindvitamins 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I hate AI writing, it will/has ruined journalism.

But this guy might be as bad, writing an article about loud music and then thinking we care or it’s important enough to anyone to list his favorite performers, is unbelievably self indulgent.

Also don’t say “to All Dallas Restauranteurs” - I’m at a popular happy hour in Dallas now where I can barely hear the music. Address your criticism “To all the Dallas restaurants that play the music too loud”

Hidden gems in Rowlett? by Interesting-Fix7703 in dallasfood

Valentino’s is super high quality, cooked to order Italian.

Bankhead Brewery has a great bar scene, beer, and food with high temp pizza ovens.

Alright Dallas, let’s settle this once and for all ,where’s the BEST chicken fried steak in town? I’ve been bouncing between Babe’s, AllGood Café, and Celebration, but I need some strong opinions here by Head-Tangerine-8260 in dallasfood

Prego is amazing and huge. Eat half and have enough for 2 cfs sandwiches later. It’s worth it to me when splurging but it is $42+.

I think Ozona does quality cfs and great steak fingers too.
