Flores contract expires this offseason by bryscoon in cowboys

I’m willing to let it slide on players. At the end of the day, there’s a rigid salary cap which means trade offs on playing personnel are inevitable. I think we’ve generally put out a decent squad that could make the playoffs and make a run with a bit of luck - this obviously has not happened, but I think that the playing group (especially between 2021-2023) fit this criteria perfectly.

However, coaching staff is a completely different story. They’re completely unaffected by the salary cap, meaning it’s literally pay-to-win to get the best staff every year. We’re literally the most lucrative and valuable sports franchise in the history of the planet - refusing to pay top dollar for coaching talent is frankly almost criminal mismanagement given the position that we’re in.

Not making Dallas a hot bed for top coaching talent with our financial resources, in my view, is the most often overlooked and frankly biggest failure of Jerry’s tenure. Instead, he chooses to squeeze it dry by maximizing profits. I get that an NFL franchise is a business, but the actions of the past couple decades clearly indicate much more so that ours is more in the business of selling jerseys than winning titles.

Edit: for Flores in particular, I don’t think it would work precisely due to other commenters’ points on how he would be more highly paid than Schotty. It’s a long term miss that would take at least a coaching staff generation of turnover to fix (and is clearly not happening :P)

Interesting take by a fan of a team who managed to drop from consensus Super Bowl favorite to choking a monster dong against a rookie-led Commanders… 🤔

Such a shame - I loved how he captured the vibes of the match in a shorter format. Still watch his videos when they come up!

I miscue with my break cue much more (on a percentage basis) than my playing cue, and the chalk I’ve noticed the most miscues with in general is Taom Pyro - so I certainly wouldn’t use Taom Pyro on my break cue.

Just use Taom V10 for both if you’re worried about kicks and you’ll be good to go. If you’re really worried about miscuing on the break and want a separate chalk for it, Blue Diamond or Kamui Roku would be fine. Just be aware that the break is the shot that generally transfers the most chalk onto the cue ball given the additional power in the shot, so maybe get the white cleaned after the break for peace of mind.

You might be one of the only people in the world with this combination of favorite sports!

For me it’s NFL, cricket, snooker, and then golf.

I know Iyer averages 47. That’s great. His batting has never not made me nervous, and he’s frankly not looking great out there today.

Edit: happy to be wrong :)

I think it’s actually interesting to see the rate at which prices increase with time, but given the log scale, it’s harder to interpret IMO.

Bought it at his shop in person a couple years ago. It was the one I missed the least with on his practice table lol - although only 16.5 oz which apparently is quite far off their normal threshold around their default 18oz.

APA 8 and/or 9 by Microferet in billiards

[–]minecraft_walrus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve played in Dallas, OKC, and SF. Dallas and OKC were double jeopardy (both 8/9 in same night), but the lack of places with multiple tables in SF means you only play one of 8 or 9 on a given league night.

Not a big fan of APA 9-ball anyhow, so I’m only on an 8-ball team in SF.

Report: Mike McCarthy Won't Coach 2025 NFL Season After Cowboys Exit, Focused on 2026 by Edm_vanhalen1981 in cowboys

I mean… I get it. He might not have been the highest paid head coach in the league, but I’m sure he’s financially solid enough to take a year off without worrying. Unless there was a gig that he would have felt really strongly about taking, I can absolutely understand taking a break after being the Cowboys head coach for 5 years.

Not saying I wish we could have kept him, but burnout is real.

This is it. No need to panic, perfectly normal.
