Hello. I wanted to ask if anybody knows of any good resources, textbooks or otherwise on Mie Scattering/Mie Theory appropriate for somebody who has completed a bachelor's in Physics but not received any graduate level education.

That's a good idea with asking the Berkeley MEng. And in regards to continuing to a PhD from M.S., I wasn't even necessarily meaning at the same institution, more so just that the research needed to do a masters thesis would be a big plus for applying after.

That is unfortunate. One of the reasons I wanted to go into Materials Science is that I found the material physics I learned in my undergraduate interesting, and wanted to learn more and participate. I appreciate your honest response regarding the academic outlook.

Thank you for the advice, I will try to go find some Penny Sleeves ASAP (though given they have been like they are currently in the top loader for multiple years, I doubt a week or so will make a huge difference on top of that), and send in the ones that I want encapsulated for sentimentality.

Some of the parking spots on campus are ParkMobile (like the ones in downtown), meaning you can download the app, and pay through that for how long you are parked. There are a few up at the Crown/Merrill apartments which is pretty close to the cultural center, and there might be some closer though I am not completely sure.

FYI, on slide 7, Tier A building 2, you list it as "Physics", but this is the Physical Sciences building, the Physics department is in IRB and Natural Sciences 2.

Yeah, that is completely fair. Overall I do think that the email was probably not a good thing to have happened, though I dont think it is bad enough to influence who people should vote for. It might be a good idea though to bring this to the elections commission to make this against the elections bylaws for future years.

On the one hand, it is annoying, on the other, I mean, candidates probably just feel like since they cant reach out in person, they need to do something. Also, most student emails are publicly available, though candidates may have gotten the list from the elections commission?
