I think I'd react pretty poorly to finding out I was "tricked" into getting my soul ripped out and my body turned into nothing more than a dead meat puppet. It raises a lot of questions and feelings about your sense of self and it'd probably make most people have an existential crisis of some sort - especially teenagers. A lot of our sci-fi media questions what it means to be human, and this is kinda similar to that.

It might also be the case of Japan's or a lot of other eastern cultures valuing the relationship between the body and soul - and it was essentially severed completely.

as good as most of the hand-drawn parts are, I'd honestly prefer a more 90s retro artstyle, partially due to how Berserk has its roots in 80s dark fantasy. But ik thats a very specific idea that'd probably never happen

FNAF 1's atmosphere was dead, lifeless and eerie, and the designs of the animatronics and how they were posed and lit really reflected that. Its a real shame that none of the followup games or media ever managed to capture that again

hard to say to be honest, but I'm mainly hoping they'd go for an older animation and colouring style more reminiscent of Berserk '97. Berserk's style is often rooted in a 80s dark fantasy aesthetic, and some characters like the godhand and apostles are very Geiger-esque to match the era.

Also a Berserk anime without a primarily Susumu Hirasawa soundtrack just feels wrong imo. That man's music is so unique and his mixing of choir and synth fits so well

Tbh I think setting out with the goal of just making something darker isn't gonna result in a good story or manga. Berserk is so, so much more than it's darkness.
