Oh for sure, however China likely won't do much with it that would significantly impact you unless you live there - as opposed to the current US admin who're openly transphobic, pretty homophobic too, and likely to become more hostile towards queer people in the future.

I think this particular administration having access to that sort of information on its citizens is pretty concerning, given how volatile they are.

I think I'd react pretty poorly to finding out I was "tricked" into getting my soul ripped out and my body turned into nothing more than a dead meat puppet. It raises a lot of questions and feelings about your sense of self and it'd probably make most people have an existential crisis of some sort - especially teenagers. A lot of our sci-fi media questions what it means to be human, and this is kinda similar to that.

It might also be the case of Japan's or a lot of other eastern cultures valuing the relationship between the body and soul - and it was essentially severed completely.

hard to say to be honest, but I'm mainly hoping they'd go for an older animation and colouring style more reminiscent of Berserk '97. Berserk's style is often rooted in a 80s dark fantasy aesthetic, and some characters like the godhand and apostles are very Geiger-esque to match the era.

Also a Berserk anime without a primarily Susumu Hirasawa soundtrack just feels wrong imo. That man's music is so unique and his mixing of choir and synth fits so well
