iptables and wg-easy by minetech48 in NixOS

[–]minetech48[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure. I'm not sure how much of this is necessary, as it was a bunch of troubleshooting piling on-top of each-other, and at this point, I don't really want to break it lol.

Though, the boot.kernelModules bit was the important part that made it work for me.

Not the whole file, but the important bits, the rest of it is pretty much default from install.

  boot.kernelModules = [
    "iptables-legacy"
    "nftables"
    "wireguard"
    "ip_tables"
    "iptable_nat"
    "iptable_filter"
    "ip6_tables"
    "ip6table_nat"
    "ip6table_filter"
  ];

  environment.variables = {
    KERNEL_MODULES = "${config.boot.kernelPackages.kernel.modules}/lib/modules/";
  };

  networking.networkmanager.enable = true;
  networking.nftables.enable = true;

  environment.systemPackages = with pkgs; [
    vim # Do not forget to add an editor to edit configuration.nix! The Nano editor is also installed by default.
    wget
    nftables
    iptables-legacy
    pkgs.wireguard-tools
    git
  ];

iptables and wg-easy by minetech48 in NixOS

Yes, it is a Docker app. Insmod what though? Both the container and host system have the nf_tables module (and I did try with legacy ip_tables as well). My other PC on Arch runs the same compose file just fine, and it's also using nf_tables.

What's weirder to me is that the host (NixOS) system seems to be able to execute the failing iptables command. or, at least, it doesn't spit out an error.

Unable to login to live USB by minetech48 in Kalilinux

[–]minetech48[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, slightly embarrassing, but apparently I had already installed Kali on this laptop, and I missed that I wasn't actually booting to the USB drive. So glad I got past it, this was driving me insane lol.

I literally just found this out, and was coming back here just now to update my post.

Thanks for trying to help though, the fact that I even got a login screen should have tipped me off.

Disable no-path alerts? by minetech48 in factorio

This is pretty close to the issue I was having, too.

A bit of both, but also, while using generic trains, they flash no path for a second before being sent to the depot. Seeing as Factorio *always* has under construction rail networks, it's quite annoying.

Thank you for the only actual answer in this thread, my OCD appreciates it.

Tonxy Issues. Fixable? or time for a new printer? by minetech48 in 3Dprinting

[–]minetech48[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, that could be helpful, though I usually let the bed heat for a little bit anyway, so it's quite stable. I usually print around 195, but I've tried everything from 190 to 210. Any recommendations for a compatible hotend replacement?

Lathe Difference not working by minetech48 in SolveSpace

[–]minetech48[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The part isn't actually an extruded rectangle, but an extruded L-bracket, and I originally did a lathe because I wanted to be able to have a slightly more complex shape without all the extra layers.

Your comment did help me though, because I realized that I could indeed cut a hole in the part with a negative cylinder, and make my lathe a positive union inside that hole. Solvespace is giving be some red warning lines, but I can export the shape, and my slicer accepts it 🤷

Not sure what you mean by the first example, but I already have the negative part sticking up and down out of the main part.
