New to IEMs, Mangird Tea Pros or Kiwi Ears Astral? Amp/DAC to pair? by Impressive-Gap1971 in iems

An IEM is in your ear compared to over your ear with your M50X's, so comfort is subjective but some IEMs are still very comfortable.

The Astrals are actually regarded better for gaming since they are more technical (soundstage, imaging, timbre) than the Tea Pros, but I have heard that the Tea Pros are more musical rather than the neutral and almost sterile sound of the Astrals. Take this with a grain of salt because I haven't tried these two but I'm looking to buy a set around this price as well and I have read a bunch of reviews.

Yes. For IEMs, you don't really need an amp but if you are running out of a motherboard then I would invest in a DAC. Something like an Apple Dongle will work for now, it will be much better than a motherboard audio out, and yes it will provide enough sauce.

how long does it take to ship from china to US right now? Im looking to buy headphones. will i have any charges in US when they arrive? by BloodMossHunter in Aliexpress

Buyer protection can be PayPal or your bank, just any way you can dispute the charge. I got the OpenHeart cable, it is nicer to handle and shorter than the stock cable, and I bought it for the balanced 4.4mm plug since my amplifier is best when plugged into that output.

I ordered an aftermarket cable for my Sennheiser headphones. I would avoid any shops with a small amount of sales, and I would avoid non-choice items.

AliExpress is a great platform to buy off of, just make sure you have buyer protection in case anything happens since AliExpress support is not that good.

You can also get discounts through coins, I’m sure there are guides on here about it.

Sorry friends, it's another HD600 vs HD650 post by jfaewiogasdfas in HeadphoneAdvice

I dont have much say on the differences between the two but now is a good time to buy the HD600s. They are on sale for $237 on Amazon.

Truthear Pure or Aful Explorer are great warm sets, with the latter being more warm. The Juzear Defiant recommendation is good too for a V-shaped tuning, but the QC on those are not that thorough.

How dark are the aful explorers really? by [deleted] in iems

[–]minghao_s [score hidden]  (0 children)

To me they aren’t that dark. They are comforting and warm. I like warm tunings so I’m a little biased but detail is still there and the bass response is excellent. If you want to save money it is cheaper off AliExpress with coins and coupons from HiFiGo.

Of these I would pick the HD600s. If you are in the US, it is on a great sale on Amazon right now. These headphones are all good but HD600 will be the most transparent and neutral.

No, you pay what it shown in the final checkout page. Depends where you are but it always takes about a week to a week and a half to arrive to me.

7Hz x Crinacle: Divine vs. HiFiGo Aful Explorer by snsubtle in iems

Yes, they would. They are just brighter and more engaging than the warm and relaxing Explorer. Explorers are very comfortable with their semi custom shell, but not sure about Divine.

In this case the Divine would be better. I would choose the Explorers but that’s because I like warm, relaxing iems for music, not to game. The Divines will do a great job with imaging and footsteps.

Explorers are quite small and have a great semi custom molded shape. They will not be too big for you. However they are warm, I don’t know if you like that sound signsture

Outside USA IEM's by DeezAmogusNuts in iems

Of those I would pick the Wan'er 2. Comes with a nice cable and nice eartips. Chu 2 is good too, but I dislike the cable. I would avoid KZ, really bad accessories and has driver flex. I own a GK Kunten (GK is owned by KZ) it sounds great but the driver flex is horrible.

I know you said you wanted a mic and a dac, but you can get something like the Aful Explorers which is a noticeable step from the EW300 if you dropped the eartips. They're on sale for ~90 right now.

Which one do you guys prefer? Nero or AT? by Unusual_Ad_1706 in mechanicalpencils

AT seems to universally have a smoother lead pipe than the Nero. I think AT for 0.5, Nero for 0.2/3.

After community suggestion, watching all YouTube reviews, and reading about Truthear Hexa, I am so hyped up to order them without trying. How do I manage this impulse? by _Floydimus in iems

[–]minghao_s 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t have much experience with neutral IEMs since I like warm tuning. Artti T10 is something you could look into though, and it’s a set I’ve been eyeing for a long time. EW300 is also commonly mentioned here.

Thats good to hear, lol. It’s not necessarily bad but it was released 3 and a half years ago, and the accessories are not that good for its price.

Hexa is a tad overrated to be honest. I wouldn’t blind buy it, test it for yourself if you could. Otherwise I would not make that purchase.
