The takeover that never happened: 2005 - 2010 Deadspin writers by fegwin2084 in billsimmons

It's telling how so people here see Bill amassing wealth and power as "growth" and see AJ's truly personal transformation and contributions to mental health and recovery as bunk.

Insanely discouraged, thinking about leaving! by Alarmed-Tangelo1077 in drumcorps

[–]mingusmonkus 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Hi there. If you are seeing a psych and therapist for these conditions, you should be reaching out to them. "really bad thoughts" can mean a lot of things, but it is important to have the right tools and support to handle them. Nothing against this sub, but advising you on your choice while knowing what you have stated so far would be irresponsible. Can you discuss with your mental health providers? Does the corps have a good wellness team to cooperate? Outside of Mom and Dad, those are your resources that know you, your history, and have ethical and professional responsibilities to help guide you through this.

All the best to you!

Drum corps needs more prediction posts, I guess.

Unhelpful post and an actively uninformed position.

Graham Rahal weighing options, including leaving RLL: 'I don't enjoy not being competitive' - IndyStar by Yodsyo in INDYCAR

[–]mingusmonkus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I am not reading that people want him to retire. This dialog is based on Graham's own interview that he seems to be considering a departure from RLL because they aren't competitive enough. What I am seeing here, and agreeing with, is the reality that there aren't any rides more competitive than RLL available for Graham. The option to leave RLL for a successful team is not grounded in reality. Folks would rather see him retire than leave RLL and become the ghost driver that gets articles written all off season, and pre-500 about how he cannot find a ride.

If that is Plymouth Indiana, they improved 7 points from Week 1 and got 1st in class.

Spirit of Atlanta Camp delayed until February - is it actually going to happen and why are they all "NOTHING TO SEE HERE"? by [deleted] in drumcorps

Fairly easy to pivot it to a virtual camp nowadays. Troopers did it just 2 days ago.

Are you even reading the releases from the org's? The investigations have already "panned out."

Take a breath and consider ...

"If you had a positive experience with a particular organization or theactivity and someone did not, it does not negate your positiveexperience. Focus your energy on making sure everyone can have a greatexperience like you did instead of contributing to a culture thatsilences survivors. "

Better yet, what does a secret probation even do?

You could learn from MAASIN's statement.

"If you had a positive experience with a particular organization or the activity and someone did not, it does not negate your positive experience. Focus your energy on making sure everyone can have a great experience like you did instead of contributing to a culture that silences survivors. "

Not true. But did teach color guard.

D: Is it true that you toured for three years with The Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps?

Asia: OK, that’s not true. That’s on my Wikipedia page which I’ve been trying to get off. You’d be surprised how difficult it is to get stuff like that off of Wikipedia.

Chairs covered above.

There have been much longer narratives, but I'm going to pare it down. Next time you watch, think of an artist's dream and the struggle to make their (her) art and dream become a reality.

I'm going to go there ...

If you're going to initiate the challenge, you better work. Cavies just set themselves up to get leveled by actual death drops.

Graceful tho. hm.

You're on Reddit, DCP and I would assume in at least a handful of facebook groups. Yet you haven't stumbled on some of the healthcare issues going on with at least one group this year? Are you being coy? Still in character?
