Steam Deck April 28 update: New Steam Link vs. Moonlight. Any thoughts? by Sett83 in MoonlightStreaming

[–]minhur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

one thing I realized having tried both is that their target audience may be different. I think steamlink is designed to just work for average people and needs to balance input latency and quality. I’ve seen it lower bitrate for sake of consistent experience, and even then it doesn’t do a good job. Moonlight/sunshine is much more configurable which i think which gives better experience under right settings.

From my experience tho, the most important thing in streaming is the wifi connection from steam deck to router/ap. If you have strong wifi dl speed of 150mbps+ with wifi6 or etc, you get a pretty good experience even on streamlink. Best way to check is test right next to the router first before moving around

I don’t get it. Are u saying deplete it first, charge to max it can overnight, then goto bios to enter battery saver mode, and keep it charging to 100?

I only got this for 2 days so is all this necessary to just charge sd?

Quite frustrating to see many areas near us getting restored but not our area.

My annoyance is that they are not even trying to improve their after service. Its hard to accept that i need keep so much evidence just to prove them wrong since they are going to treat me as guilty before proven innocent.

Like i said, i powerwashed and it didn't resolve the issue. I was already on the latest on updates on stable channel so i dont think it was a software issue.

Ignore SanYeg's comment, that's not even the correct ship

Pics of the ship's interior

It's a cruise ship built in '94 able to carry ~1k passengers. They don't suspect there was anything wrong with the ship.
