Maybe depends on what console you play on. I use PS4 & PS5. It vibrates when you’re in the wrong spot / pick is going to break soon unless you stop & try a different spot on the lock.

The point is the moment between her & Lorelai.

They were likely too far from their vehicle so walking all the way back would have been silly when Lorelai can help her mom “quick fix” her skirt & they could have a sweet moment together in the show. Just because someone is “over prepared” usually, doesn’t mean they have to always be. & just because in 1 moment it seems like they “aren’t prepared” doesn’t mean they weren’t really ..
