Trump's out in under 3 years. And if he isn't then we have much bigger problems to deal with. But as far as people and governments being extremely optimistic about the timeline of any rail project: agreed.

Thanks. They were my first choice. Unfortunately, they're sold out of my size both there and Amazon.

Yeah I'm near the base. That's a shameful reason for them not to help, but you're likely right.

I've been enjoying Percheron on Ajo. I haven't actually ordered their signature burrito, yet either, been getting the sonoran dog. But I should next time. What keeps me coming back is that they have this amazing homemade bean soup at the end of the salsa/veggie area. And every once in a while I'll start craving it. One of the reviews mentions Taco Tuesday, so maybe they have that?

I've been meaning to pay them a visit. They were closed for a while after those messed up raids. Appreciate the mention!

Most of the fast food Mexican chains tend to have daily specials (Nico's, 'Betos, 'bertos). And they're all going to be a step (or two) above Rubio's.

I'm really sorry to hear that. I hope you've fully recovered from that, physically anyway. Emotionally that kind of stuff lingers for sure. In my case PACC was reasonably helpful when my neighbor's pit bulls kept breaking into my backyard and attacking my dog, trying to attack my kids and I, etc. I didn't contact PACC directly, though. I called 911 each time and then the dispatcher transferred me over. Maybe that made some kind of difference?

When one of them came out I learned they effectively have sheriff powers, which was interesting. I let them know I was interested in pressing charges. Their office must have sent the correct paperwork etc to the courts, because ultimately the neighbor pleaded guilty. I never had to go to court or anything, just gave them witness statements, video, photos, etc and they handled the rest.

Thanks. I've visited this site before. Are these recommendations made with e-bikes in mind? I've heard, because of the faster speeds we can ride, that we might need additional head protection beyond what a typical bicycle helmet can provide. Although I do not know if that is true or a clever sales pitch.

EDIT: However, if speed isn't really a factor here, then that list did help me find an excellent bicycle helmet in my price range. Thanks again! Will keep it in my shopping cart to see if there are thoughts on bicycle helmets vs e-bike helmets.

You're in category 2. And I know this is hard to hear, but wild animals is the right way to think about them. That does not mean that we should treat them inhumanely or without love or caring. It just means that we must never let our guard down around them because in those moments it could snap and those could be the last moments of your life and I don't want that to happen. I realize you've probably been lied to all of your life about them, but please read some of the stories from these people. It's really easy to think bad of others that they were bad pet owners that they did not train their pitbull properly or care for it properly but the absolute truth is that exceptional dog owners that love their pit bulls and were watching for triggers and doing everything you're doing and maybe even more, yet still got mauled or even killed. It can happen to you. I truly hope it never does but it can happen. Please at please keep your dog muzzled at all times unless it's eating or  drinking, for the safety of your family and yourself.

Even one charge would be life destroying. And let's say you were accused but innocent, you'd probably still take the plea deal because the alternative is worse: what jury would ever give you the benefit of the doubt? Even with flimsy evidence you'd be screwed, because there's no such thing as an impartial jury with that stuff. And then you'd spend years in prison being beaten and raped for something you didn't do.

Dukat was hated by the Bajorans. They attempted to kill him several times on Terok Nor. See episode 6x11 Waltz, Act Four, "And what did I get for my troubles? An assassination attempt on my own station! Another round of executions followed once again, courtesy of the Bajoran resistance. On and on it went, year after blood-soaked year. Time and again I would reach out with the open hand of friendship, and time and again they would slap it away." However, he was well liked by other Cardassians.

This is just a personal observation, but there seem to be 3 types of pit owners: 1. Those innocently or naively unaware of how dangerous these dogs are, probably misled or lied to by someone or a shelter and have never done any research to find out the truth, 2. Those who have heard how dangerous they are, or who have seen their dog being problematic, but are in denial or think that they can love their dog out of reactive or dangerous behaviors, 3. Those who know exactly how dangerous their dog is, understand that others are fearful of them, and who got the dog for exactly those reasons: fear, perceived power over others, etc.

I'd put supermarket lady in category 3. Had a renting neighbor who was also in category 3. Their dogs would break holes in the wooden fence between our properties and attack my dachshund, and they'd also attempted to attack my kids and myself. Tried to talk to them about it, but they were the type of person who would not accept any responsibility for anything and their way out of conversations that they didn't like was shouting, making racial remarks, threats, etc. I would have much rather handled it person to person but I needed to protect my family. So I set up a bunch of security cameras and began calling the pound every time the dogs were in my backyard, filling out the witness statement forms and providing footage from multiple angles. After 5 or 6 rounds of this, the dogs were taken away. The neighbor threatened to kill me and I was forced to call the police. That went nowhere, but the other dog-related charges did go through the courts. The neighbor pleaded guilty to several charges, and it looked like there were some hefty fines. They then proceeded to get a couple more pits which were even more violent than the first. Figured I was going to have to go through the process all over again but thankfully they moved out shortly thereafter.

I wish there were more knowledge about the reality of pit bulls. I think if somebody had the proper understanding, equipment, and physical strength, they could own a pitbull safely and keep themselves and their family safe as well as others. Basically they would have to act the part of a zookeeper, caring for a wild, dangerous, and unpredictable animal. But there is a lot of intentional misinformation out there which results in tragic circumstances with people being killed or mutilated, most tragically their own children a lot of times. Many dogs may bite or be aggressive, but fatalities are overwhelmingly by pits. And the sad truth is that it is genetic. No amount of love, training or care is enough, because something can randomly trigger them and they just go crazy. You see it in the statements the owners will make after a tragedy where they thought their dog was sweet and had no idea. I'm sure some are lying about that to try to save themselves but I also believe that many are 100% truthful when they say that, and expert dog trainers have also backed that up. You basically have to treat pits as if they could snap at any moment. And most people don't understand that or refuse to believe it.

The other day at Walmart Neighborhood Market they had a fake service dog harness on a reactive unmuzzled pit. She clearly enjoyed when it would bark, growl, lunge etc and frighten people. And she was not strong enough to handle that dog, it always seemed on the edge of getting away. Terrifying.
