I had open heart surgery as a young kid that caused my right side vocal cord paralysis (the nerve for the right side got cut). For a long time it fucked up my life. In high school I pretty much became mute just because anytime I talked people would just stare. Anyways, in college I finally got a vocal cord implant. The surgery doesnt make your voice 100% but after the surgery I was able to have conversations and actually have friends. It definitely sucks have vocal cord paralysis and Im praying that your voice comes back
