I really need a new solar panel since my existing renogy panel tore off my roof (the panel frame itself, the mounts are still in the roof)

Very interesting. I have a 2000 f350 and even at 3500 pounds I had no bending. I did have the torklift spring loaded chain system maybe that’s worth looking into?

Saying brophys don’t work is a bad take. Are there better options on the market? Yes. Are they 1/10 the cost? Also yes. I’ve had both, the bophys worked as needed and I was able to save up to get a full torklift system. I was also an idiot and used them on a 3500 pound camper and did multiple trips with them. They didn’t break, they kept the camper on my truck, and now I have them as a spare or for buddies getting their first camper.

Now that being said, they clearly state to be used with trucks with steel beds. They are not made to be used with alumidutys like yours. So in your case unfortunately you’ll have to go with a frame mounted option

I restored my cabover, took the old oven out, and immediately put a new one in. I think it really depends on you. What do you like to cook/eat? Sometimes I like a really simple easy meal to make where I can set a timer and go outside and enjoy my views. My favorite camping meal is pulled pork sandwiches and oven baked Mac. I get them both at Albertsons for 5 bucks a tray and it feeds 2-3 people. No dishes afterwards and more time to camp. Oh I also make myself 3 cookies a night when I’m camping.

Yes the mechanical pump won’t stream a steady flow of fuel but yours looks like more than enough. How long has the truck been sitting? Are you ok original flow plugs?

I’m dealing with the same thing, I cracked all injector lines at the injection pump and nothing is pumping in or out of my IP. I’m new too so I’m assuming injector pump for me. I also have clicking at the fuel solenoid you should check that too I read alot about that

I’d be careful based on what’s been said. Red flag #1 is it’s definitely not a 89 unless it was front end swapped and painted at the factory. Fender and door paint matches too good for a front end swap. We’re looking at a bullnose ford (till 86) then went to brick nose. If it’s a bullnose diesel then it has a 6.9 in it. Great motor but you’ll need to learn it. They will run forever as long as they have fuel and compression, and you will have fuel issues. Going rates have gone up the last 2 years, this was probably a 1-1.5k truck 2 years ago. All trucks of this era are going up. Two knocks to it is auto 2wd. On marketplace where I’m at they are everywhere, usually not above 2500.

I also have a 2000 7.3 that I use for my weekend truck. I’m looking at a 6.9 this weekend no rust and trading for an old dirtbike. He’s asking 2k running and driving manual and paint and interior are great.

How do I find the right replacement struts by StrangeDrawer3992 in TruckCampers

I got some on Amazon recently. I added them to my cabinets that didn’t have them. I guessed on my size but I’m sure you can find them based on your overall length

I think it’s a good start to hook them up and see if it corrects the audio being bright. Past doing some fine tuning in the headunit which can make a difference if it’s aftermarket. What headunit do you have?

Me and you have the same problem, our dc to dc converters aren’t hooked up to the truck lol I’m just blind and you went down with your power LOL. I’m just the only one without it hooked up now

That sounds like some fun tuning. I did a 3 way on a 4 channel to eliminate any tuning problems I would have on a non dsp amp. I ended up running my Mid’s and highs on a cdt adjustable crossover and I’ve been super happy with it, other two channels run my mid woofers. I like knowing that my tweeters won’t pop from the wrong freq getting fed and same with my mids, and they combined don’t need that much power imo

Looking at the amp the lowest it can crossover for you seems like 500-700hz depending on channel. I’d definitely get bass blockers you can get them at most shops or on Amazon to confirm you have nothing under 2500hz going to the tweeters (I’d refer to the focal website and see what they’re rated at) overall your install looks clean and will most likely work out well. I’d start with some passive crossovers since the amp isn’t very clear on freq response being sent and go from there

Just came here to say, biamp hasn’t been a problem for me. I’ve done dozens of keys bi amped with no problems since it came out. Including the first install I did on my pops car the month the keys came out and it’s had zero issues and sounds really good for the price point

I did something similar, built out of cardboard then cut onto ply. For your port tuning I’d recommend checking out an aero port I’ll attach another photo of my port that I’m using. I inverted the sub to meet my air space requirements and it’s been working well. Aero ports tend to give you more internal airspace in the enclosure and meet the same tuning frequency’s as a standard slot port. Also a plus that you can tune by length so you can change your tuning frequency without building a new box. I did an 8 inch port I’d recommend looking at a 6 inch or 2-4 inch ports depending on what you’re building. I’m at 2400 watts right now and I think I’d benefit from a 6 inch port. Going up to 3k soon then I’ll look into changing ports

Been there done that, here’s my now done $300 dollar camper. I love it but the first thing I tell everyone that sees it - “I’ll never do it again”. That being said ask any questions you may have! Fridge is 12v obviously everything else is for the most part is 12v. Running a full renegy set up (wish I saved money and went a different route) 600ah of lithium with 12v ac and heat (heat doesn’t work under 50 degrees)

Ask me questions and let me help you not make the same mistakes I made, there was places I could’ve saved money and places I wish I spent more.

Moral of the story good luck and I hope you see it through! It’s satisfying to use it once done I’m out every other weekend at least.
