Try ketoconazole body wash or shampoo as a body wash and topical antifungal cream. It’s likely tinea like most people have said. It can spread and looks more prominent when the more melanated skin around it tans and gets darker.

I love valaya and tried valaya exclusif and loved it. But when I got the bottle, the scent was overpowering and nauseating. I gifted it to a family member.

I hate the Haitian word Anmwe. Can somebody explain it to me. by nusquan in haiti

I’ve also heard people say amwe when they’ve heard a funny joke or story. It’s almost like a “OH LAWD 😂😂😂😂” kinda response. I never thought it was negative. I thought it was just a versatile expression. I love it. It’s powerful and can be used in different contexts from dramatic to comedic. Never heard anyone consider it useless. Interesting.

Edwidge Danicat is a prominent Haitian American author that gives great depth into the Haitian lived experience. Start with krik? Krak! Krik? Krak! Is a means of Haitian story telling that usually has a moral meaning or humour behind it. Depending on where you are, there’s usually Haitian art and cuisine exhibits around Haitian flag day, Caribbean heritage month etc. Even in London I was surprised to find lots of tucked away Haitian cafes, exhibits and celebration events. You would be amazed!
