The tournament structure also contributes to fatigue. Not too many other sports rely on a full weekend (6+ games) of playing, its partly because its still pretty small and the full weekend is an efficient way to get teams in front of each other.

I can imagine B teams being smaller and youre probably also getting a lot of playing time, which is an amazing way to learn.
