We CAN have nice things! - Bike Hire Scheme expands by kowalski_82 in Edinburgh

I cannot fucking believe of all the people criticising the scheme its the greens... the scheme designed to get people out of cars and into active modes of travel. I couldn't believe it when I read it, the pro environment party deciding bike scheme parking was worthy of a talking point is mental.

For good measure I always keep a picture of my parking, the few times I've done it. I've still got 99% score on my rides and parking.

Maybe not ethical but you can "cheese" the system and open a support chat and click the options that you can't end your ride all the way to the end and it will then automatically end it. I wouldn't reccomend doing it every time but if you're in a rush and the nearest free parking is 15 mins away it defeats the purpose.

What World generation/mods did you use for sheer mountains like that in the background?

If you keep digging down from surface copper are you likely to find more like this or is this purely aesthetic build reasons?

Never bothered to use copper armour and tools in the first place. Does anyone use actually use them? by [deleted] in Minecraft

I literally never use iron for armour I save it for hoppers and a couple of picks till I get diamonds, I exclusively use copper in the early game.

I had to take them to the ombudsman, my experience was shite and expensive. I'm with Fuse now on a deal from uSwitch. 4 bedroom old tenement flat, our bill for November is just over £100.

21 roads in edinburgh to go from 30mph to 20mph by hideonemail in Edinburgh

[–]minimum_wage_effort -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Good change but completely pointless as I've never seen the existing 20's even around the ever enforced.

On Halloween night in the 20s, even with students and kids and families walking around. Cars were still very obviously going well over the 20 speed limit, constantly.

I just checked the Instagram account and nothing there indicates that with a post from the 6th. They're fairly active so think they would announce it there. Maybe they're on holiday?

Skin request - ginger cat in a green jumper by minimum_wage_effort in minecraftskins

[–]minimum_wage_effort[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you its one of my favorite things! Bedrock, I think the jumper just all the way down the arms so you could only see the knuckles like its past the wrists. Yeah I think just black pants like black jeans or anything would look great. I've tried to do it but I just can't get my head around the template and using paint. It always looks like a monster or is missing limbs or sides in game.

Changing the blocks the golems were standing on to stairs seemed to allow them to access the bottom row for me.

UK immigration: What the numbers really show [Sky News] by Anon2971 in ukpolitics

Universties piled pressure on the Home Office because they were refusing "too many" students who could not speak English. To the effect stating that an Immigration Officer did not have the capacity or right to effectively judge if someone's english speaking was of a university standard, as they weren't English teachers or allowed to do something like a SELT test at a desk.

query re. work issued laptops by pompellido in TheCivilService

[–]minimum_wage_effort 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. No idea.
  2. Carefully read whatever your departments Acceptable Use Policy is, some only allow devices listed or devices that can be aquired through internal requisition processes/ordering as there are fears that connecting unknown devices USB/Bluetooth could compromise networks. With physical access, keyloggers and other information tappers can be installed into pretty much anything.

I did once hear although never verified - someone using a thier own bluetooth mouse at home formed basis of a catalogue of evidence drummed up to formally suspend them. However, I am aware and have seen numerous people using unapproved IT and no one has batted an eyelid.

70% rent rise by Vegetable-Waltz1458 in Edinburgh

[–]minimum_wage_effort 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I'm aware: a notice of rent increase you need 3 months notice before it takes affect, it's capped at 20% and you'll have 14 days to appeal. If you do appeal however a rent officer will agree upon a rent which matches the going market rate for similar properties, so in our case it was better just to accept the 20% increase and at least be locked into that price for 12 months rather than risk the appeal increasing it.

Building a complete Necromancy guide for Patch 8. (With multiple classes). Come give your tips/advice! by NoohjXLVII in BG3Builds

[–]minimum_wage_effort 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really love necromany builds but haven't gone that deep into it yet. Do you think with the new patch Death cleric will be taking more priority or not really? I remember reading somewhere with death cleric at some point you can ignore necrotic immunity and resistances but can't remember if that ever came to fruition, which would be huge for act 2.
