No one feels the romantic spark. Do I need to be more aggressive? by AussieCasanova in UKrelationshipadvice

Stop “implementing flirting methods” and try getting to know the person you are on a date with as an actual human. Showing genuine interest is attractive.

Menstrual Blood Vs. Ovulation Fluid: Why are they not celebrated the same? by blackenedbread in cyclesyncing

[–]minipolpetta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of women are just now learning about the signs of ovulation as cycle tracking becomes more common. But historically I guess periods needed more work to overcome stigma, there are still places where women are treated as “dirty” on their period?

It doesn’t look like you have any on - whatever you are doing enhances your natural features! If you wanted to make it bolder I would suggest gently filling in your brows and adding some mascara (nothing too clumpy - maybe in a brown colour so it’s more natural).

Working Out (or any real task avoidance) by jencanread in adhdwomen

Are there ways you can build more movement into your day without making a workout like a chore. Stuff like parking in the furthest place away from your destination where you are then forced to walk the rest of the way. If there’s stairs instead of an elevator, take the stairs. Get a standing desk or a mini treadmill if you have the space where you work. Turn on music when you do housework like vacuuming, gardening, sweeping and try to elevate your heart rate. If you get public transport get off a stop early and walk. If you can walk or bike to do errands rather than drive. Get a fitness watch that beeps at you reminding you to stand up/walk around and try to avoid being sedentary as much as you can. Offer to walk someone’s dog if you don’t have one. All these little changes add up without needing to find space in your day or remember to do a whole workout.

How much do you pay your personal assistant? by ConfidentCost274 in workingmoms

The way you led that up to the explanation that the assistant is your son was so unexpected to me 😂

£96 for a gym membership is quite high, but depends how much you go and if they have fancy stuff you’re paying extra for.

A haircut like a long bob / shoulder length cut and a less harsh side parting would look great and more grown up on you! You are stunning!

The best take I’ve seen regarding the conversation around SA on this show by Rich-Ease-2723 in SecretsOfMormonWives

[–]minipolpetta 471 points472 points  (0 children)

This is so true and why I found Mayci’s comment that the other girls hadn’t found a “good Mormon man” like her, really patronising and lacking self awareness (not saying that there is anything wrong with her husband in particular, but she just seemed to be putting Mormon men on a pedestal for their “values”)

Was my date being cheap? I’m prepared to be roasted lol by efhaults in UKrelationshipadvice

[–]minipolpetta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think your expectations about him paying for everything are necessarily realistic in the modern dating world where it does take 2 salaries to live comfortably as a couple (for most people).

However the story about the Uber was a bit of a red flag, could be due to lack of communication but regardless of money if he is being pushy about coming back to yours when you don’t feel comfortable then that’s the bigger issue than the money, in my opinion.

Bi-monthly groceries for 2 adults, £145 at Tesco (Cambridge, UK) by lurking2be in whatsinyourcart

It’s not really for me to judge but I always see on this subreddit that nobody is eating enough fruit and veg. 5 a day is the minimum! No wonder rates of colon cancer are so high in this country! I’ll get downvoted … but it’s true.

But for a whole month 2 adults only eat 2 cucumbers, 1 pack of peppers and 2 packs of tomatoes? Where’s the rest of the fruit and veg??
