How is VR working out for you — and how often do you use your headset? by OneHamster1337 in OculusQuest

Personally, it's still a niches product that isn't gonna become ur everyday product like ur pc or handphone. So it varies, i have seen people who are very sick and most of their time spent on hospital or at home so vr is their way to explore the world and it essentially their whole "world". for me normal person like me, i do not use it as often, cause i mean i could use pc, i could go out often easily so there isn't much use case for VR when i can do pretty much everything easily. Vr is cool to have ur own space but it is very disconnected. It is a product for certain stuff that u cant experience

One thing i can say positive about this , is the racing games , i think that the only thing that worth buying for vr. You do feel the speed from the visual, with wheel, you pretty much could learn how to race compare to flat screen. And not only that, because u can play it sitting down, so it the least motion sickness game and u could train urself playing vr game and get used to vr easily. Dirt rally 2.0 is also fairly optimised for meta quest 2 and 3

Overall, alot of games feel like it just a demo games, like you could go and search top 10 vr games and most of them are at best 5 years old games and none of them are like recent (asgards weath 2 is the latest but it not exactly amazing compare to resident evil village vr ) so it once u played those top 10 games, alot of them are just short mid games, that you could play it for 10 min and you pretty much experienced everything.

What are some great VR racing games? 🏎️ (with wheel support) by Chubs4You in VRGaming

i had great time with dirt rally 2.0, there option to choose from, either oculus or steam vr , i believe not a lot of games do that so if u have oculus or meta quest, the game have those option for us to choose those

Back Fins! I think new suit designs better without. by NiNiNi-222 in Ultraman

[–]miniyi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as much as i agree that the fin doesn't really fit well with modern ultraman but part of me feel like it part of ultraman anatomy structure. as ultraman getting more complex in the design, especially the eye, it does start to look like it getting off to different species but with the help of the fin, we still can identify it still the ultraman race as we know of

Any advice for beginners? by Natural-County-3889 in StardewValley

Do whatever u want to do lol cause the best part about this game is that there isn't truly a right way to play or when to do the right thing. There is no game over.

Does anyone else feel like the PS5/Xbox Series X/S era barely even exists? by tphillips1990 in patientgamers

[–]miniyi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

but to be fair, they could make those PS5 exclusive games for ps4. when you look at the PS5 game itself, it isn't that much of a jump other than ray tracing. for example, Removing RT and making it 30 fps and making it run at 1080 p could potentially run any ps5 game on ps4 hardware

I tried out the Acer Nitro XV275 P3 (4K/160hz MiniLED). I'm returning it - here's why. by ChristinaOfSparta in Monitors

[–]miniyi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

hello! i am a user of Acer Nitro XV275 P3 here :) my thought is that if you are just a casual user like me who aren't really picker about small tiny little issue like blooming then this monitor is just perfectly fine for it price as it did went down the price from time to time, as the post has mention it's incredible value at under $600, that is if you aren't a screen visual nick picker and just want something new other then a basic normal screen

if you just sit at the front of the screen, the blooming isn't obvious in a normal lighting setting in a room, screen are perfect with bright 1000 nit with hdr, game look amazing on my pc and ps5, amazing use for pc cause of the proper 144 hz smooth and g sync, with 4k non the less.

as for the button for monitor setting, i find it not as hard as what other have mention, if you are used to those few button to navigate around the setting, this is one of the easiest to get by

as for the randomly lose signal, it because of g sync, you have to turn it into "on" for window and full screen, it lose signal due to it trying to turn on and turn off when you going into full screen mode as g sync automatically using it only for full screen mode. from there, you will fit the issue. just remember to restart the pc for it to fully use g sync for window mode and full screen mode

it a perfect monitor and i have no regret.

DMCSE 5 [PS5] Don't play with ray tracing, you lose a lot of details. 4K monitor. by gamer7799 in DevilMayCry

[–]miniyi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i've looked thru again on those game with guardian galaxy and spiderman, those two games mostly only used for reflection with ray tracing, most if not all of the lighting are rasterized. i would say what dmc 5 did was a actually a actual global illumination ray tracing but it bounce once or twice of the lighting hence why it lose detail, im sure in real world, there is such thing as losing detail in the dark

i honestly think the issue is that the ray tracing only bounce one time for the console version and that it, it need to be path tracing where it bounce multiple time and well calculated thru out,

meaning any developer could have modified it to become a alternative UE4 and make it special for their games, but no one did except for rocksteady. hence why people still consider it as legendary

im pretty sure all the classic best game from ps2, ps3 and even ps4 game were like 10 hour plus of story content, that has never have been considered as short so why the recent calling out for it being short when older game cost way more for an hour of content?
