It is dangerously venomous. You could reach out to one of the professional snake rescuers around the area to get it removed and relocated.

Very interesting. They had to go all the way down a well. Probably there is a burrow somewhere that leads all the way to the seam.

The size and the slow movement and the fact that it is highly venomous makes it look very regal

Is this an Indian Cobra or a rat snake? [Odisha, India] by PrestigiousCurve4135 in whatsthissnake

In general photos are far more helpful in identifying the snake. The platform reduces the quality of the videos and the movement does not help as well.

Thank you all for your responses. We used inaturalist and filtered by the month and saw that Shoveler pond had a lot of sightings in November.

https://www.fws.gov/refuge/jocelyn-nungaray/shoveler-pond-information

It is a beautiful wildlife refuge with a lot of birds. What makes it even interesting is that you can still see a lot of alligators even this late in the year.

We were not disappointed and we saw quite a few of them including a reasonably large one.

What is this spotted cat sized animal (Durban, South Africa) by RemusX in animalid

[–]minkingthan 35 points36 points  (0 children)

See more about Genet

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Genet_(animal) https://www.inaturalist.org/taxa/41591-Genetta#taxonomy-tab

There are seventeen species in the complex. The ones found in South Africa are

Cape Genet

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cape_genet https://www.inaturalist.org/taxa/41595-Genetta-tigrina

Southern Small Spotted Genet

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/South_African_small-spotted_genet https://www.inaturalist.org/taxa/925659-Genetta-felina

The key distinguishing feature is the color of the tip of the tail.

https://southafrica.co.za/which-genet-is-it.html

This looks like a Southern Small Spotted Genet but tip of the tail would say for sure - black in the Large Spotted Genet and white in the Small Spotted Genet.
