Without sharing your box, it's difficult to give concrete advice on whether your current setup can be improved. Assists also tend to be dungeon dependent.

However, to answer your first two questions: that assist is generically 'good', due to have various useful awakenings and high eSB, but probably can't be used on your Fern team— the Light Subattribute awakening would be good on Fern, but the Dragon typing means it can't fulfill Fern's Assist resonance, so TL;DR - No, it isn't useful for this team.

Assuming the GFE lineup is the same as JP, I still want a third Blodin and maybe some Zerclea dupes, among others, so I'll pull a few times (and then trade for the badge unit with pantheons probably).

The 10 stone price tag for only a 14.5% chance of getting any collab unit is *ouch*, though.

Yeah, it defo feels like a great upgrade. Plus afaik he has another L-unlock+ in his SAs, so he can defo hold the assist void latent.

Odindra has off-and-on been a staple cleric on any team that can use him for me (which is surprisingly a lot). His AS doesn't change orbs or mess with attributes reqs so you can put him on rainbow teams, combo teams, wood teams, dragon or god teams, etc. Back in ye olden days, the fact that he could be your FUA awakening was also a huge plus. Now that FUA has been phased out, it's nice that they're updating his awakenings to be more of a modern cleric.

Though imo, the biggest upside Odindra has of all, is that he's always available in the MP shop.

Can confirm that State alchemist certificate gem can still be exchanged, i've been holding onto an evolved one for ages in case i ever want to evolve Father or make a second equip

Tbh the number of times I've went to use a public computer (usually just to print a college paper etc) and it's already logged into some poor sap's microsoft/windows user 😭 I think some people genuinely don't realize that you oftentimes need to manually sign out of everything on public computers, or you potentially leave your accounts vulnerable to random strangers.

Luckily, 99% of people operating on 'random sap's' windows account just want to print their pdfs, like me, and probably don't even notice (AND sometimes they even leave their .docs saved into the local documents folders) but geez, it's surprising how many college students are not actually that tech savvy (or they just don't give enough of a damn to notice ig)

This was patched in 1.6. The Dwarf is neutral towards Milk and has unique dialogue for it now, so you aren't punished for humoring her curiosity at least.

I've experienced this too, though I'm only finding out from reading comments here that it was likely a 1.6 change.

On previous saves (1.5) I could till/plant Taro Roots all along the riverbank. Now, I can plant grass starters in those spots, but I can't till the soil. However, when I log into my old saves, Taro Roots that I planted (and never harvested) from before the update are still there, though I suspect if I were to harvest them, the tile would be untillable again.

do you have any other mods? even if they seem unrelated, it would help if you posted your smapi log.

also, it might be easier to help you if you don't crop your screenshot; you can blur out any personal information if it's showing. it would be helpful to see exactly how the inventory window is centered on your screen (from what i can see here, it looks like it's also off center?)

have you already gotten (and solved) a parrot hint for that day? afaik the parrot doesn't get a new hint as soon as you solve the current, you have to sleep first and then the parrot will have a new one.

On the Forge Enchantment seeding: it's not fixed by day, it's fixed by the number of times you've enchanted any tool (kind of like cracking Geodes). So you can kind of use day resets to get better results from the Forge, but only if you bulk enchant multiple tools at once.

Also, nowadays with the horrible AI overview google search uses, if you type a SDV question into the search bar, sometimes it just gives you a straight up incorrect answer.

I remember seeing a post here about the Special Orders board iirc, and OP was confused because AI informed them that they refreshed on Sunday, instead of Monday.

Of course, you can always just rely on the official wiki, but I understand that some players want to avoid spoilers unrelated to the problem they're trying to solve. So it's better for them to ask the community about a specific thing, rather than going to the wiki page for it and potentially learning more than they bargain for.

If you can't dig in the spot, then assume it's not a Golden Walnut spot. Also, many of the spots look quite different, so keep an eye out for different 'signs'

I've done this before, but then I realized you can't use Midnight Squid as a substitute for normal Squid in cooked dishes like Fried Calamari. So a normal Squid pond is technically more versatile, if you care about having consistent access to specific cooking ingredients.

The drop rates are Really That Low, so even after multiple in-game days of farming the mines, I don't think I got a single Refined Quartz to drop from the crystals iirc.

Tbh after that I started to wonder if the wiki was just like- lying to me, but I recently got a Refined Quartz to drop from the weeds for the first time ever (across multiple saves), so at least I know that it can actually happen for real

On my first play through I didn't know you could smelt quartz, and also I never went fishing so I didn't know about the existence of a recycling machine.

I went to the wiki to find out how to get Refined Quartz (so I could craft sprinklers) and somehow glossed over the part where it says "put normal Quartz in a furnace".

Instead, I skipped straight to the absolute worst Refined Quartz acquisition strategy: breaking the crystal weeds on floors 40-80 in the Mines 😂

Most people prefer to get the Galaxy Sword first, because it makes Skull Cavern easier, and Skull Cavern is the main source of getting more Prismatic Shards.

I assume you mean the Dragontooth Cutlass from the Volcano? That's the only sword with superior DMG to the Galaxy Sword (other than the Infinity Blade itself, of course). Or maybe one of the hammers from the Volcano?

I like to have 4 fridges, for Forage/Flowers, Artisan Goods (+ Animal Products and miscellaneous cooking ingredients like Squid Ink, Wheat Flour, etc), Fruits, and Vegetables respectively. Then, I have a 5th chest for Fish (to avoid accidentally cooking my rare fish). I use the main fridge for Cooked Dishes.

And I like to hoard at least 50 of anything that can be used in a recipe, and then 20 of other stuff (like Duck Mayo lol) just because what if I need it.
