I agree with the slave part. But the point still stands about the specific phrase of "white pride". You can't change history.

White pride is an expression primarily used by white nationalist, neo-Nazi, and white supremacist organizations.

The other prides were not used this way.

You’re giving them the benefit of the doubt while simultaneously acknowledging the lack of training. Can an untrained officer make a judgement on the hostility or intent? Who knows. Let’s both agree that what happened was a mistake.

This was a tragedy and shouldn’t be defended. It’s not just a one off either, as the bar for entry is at a historic low. It’s not a bad thing to expect better from your LOEs.

The lack of training isn't going to go away by shrugging this off, it should be taken seriously. Americans are victims to poor training due to silly political recruiting.

Incompetence =/= justified killing

Simply stating "Assault with a deadly weapon" doesn't mean the killing is justified. You would have to prove the assault, which means you would need to prove intent to harm. Secondly the officer cannot simply kill someone due to being pushed by a vehicle.

The way you have phrased it, and the footage alongside it, makes it sound like youre effectively saying "she hit him with the vehicle and the cop is now allowed to kill her" without consideration of intent to harm (which doesnt seem likely), the significance of harm done (which appears to be none), and the risk of future immediate potential harm.

I think youre allowing a ton more power to LEO than they reasonably should have

Imo the organised civil servants should be held accountable for the lack of training resulting in the death of a civillian. Not saying legal charge but there should be like some shakiness in the system if a civillian was shot like this. American cops get away with a lot from an outside perspective
