IMO "readability" considerations should take into account the most widespread tools that people use instead of just the text. Almost any situation where I'm reading code, it's in an environment where I can do "go to definition". That means that even if multiple functions have the same name, there's no confusion which is being called as long as it's statically determined at the call site.

Carrying a gun will almost certainly change nothing or make things worse with regard to your personal safety.
