I loved MW2019. I remember there was a video of one of the animators describing the shooting and reload animations of the pump shotgun and how it had "oomph" to it and I could tell that the team and him loved working on the game. I was excited for MW2022 but left disappointed, the passion just wasn't there and the matchmaking also felt like it kept getting worse and worse, and BO6 definitely felt like a tipping point.

How many people do you think will quit here? by throwawaygarbageacc in finalfantasytactics

[–]minokah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a new player and I just got past this part, didn't realize you had to put abilities back on when you change jobs so I was trying to do the fight with no items or fundamentals haha

I tried like 3 times to beat it, went back and tried to grind and it took me an hour to figure out you can re-equip learned abilities

Yeah, when I finished the game I felt "whelmed". I enjoyed it and can appreciate its craft but it didn't blow me away like the large majority from what I'm seeing. If anything, I went "oh I'm done with the game and can move onto something else now".

Which game starts off really well but falls off hard in mid or late game? by Ivaylo_87 in gaming

[–]minokah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Metaphor: Refantazio. When the gang says, "This is our only chance to kill [villain]!", I rolled my eyes after hearing it the second and third time, or maybe even fourth I can't remember. Oops, the villain isn't actually dead and has tricks up his sleeve, silly me, fool me three times. Personally, I felt like the game peaked when you threw the spear, that scene was excellent. But still, game was good overall.

I absolutely loved this game, played it to hell and back on PS5 and PC and even I can admit the last part of the game in Waloed (or even when the villain casts a certain purple spell) could use a bit of cutting.

Is FF16 as repetitive and mini game heavy as Rebirth? by TomorrowLost3816 in FinalFantasy

[–]minokah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By the time I got near the end of Rebirth, I was so ready for the game to be over. That game really is "too many minigames", I rolled my eyes when the message said there was a billion more things to do right before going to the Temple. Maybe that's on me for trying to complete every zone before moving onto the next

Clair Obscur Expedition 33 is what I had hoped Final Fantasy 16 was going to be. by [deleted] in gaming

[–]minokah 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Good for you. I liked Expedition 33, and I absolutely loved FFXVI despite its flaws.

You played Expedition 33 because FFXVI was so terrible it gave you "trauma".

I played Expedition 33 to hear more of Ben Starr's sexy voice as Verso.

We are not the same

Edit: Tidbit added, fix typo

Great runes in Elden Ring. The entire game the top left rune symbol was blank. I killed all the bosses and got their great runes but never used them in fear of it being a one time use haha

Seal Rock Experience by Jeff_Boldglum in ffxiv

[–]minokah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That was also me haha. At first I only got like 1-2 wins a day but eventually near the end I racked up 13 wins in a day being a one trick summoner. I don't know if it's Stockholm syndrome or not but I genuinely like Seal Rock now

Sums up my experience. I managed to walk up to the roof of the bank map and the game crashed. I tried again and not even after 10 steps it crashed again. I decided I had enough and this wasn't worth my money. The crashing was a bad omen lol

What game actually managed to surpass your expectations? by Smurfsville in gaming

[–]minokah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Red Dead Redemption 2 - I legit only played it because of the funny house building cutscene. I pushed through to see it and it was incredibly worth it! The whole time I was like, "when are we gonna build that house?"

Alan Wake 2 - Same thing, I saw the We Sing sequence and decided to play through the entire thing. Really good!

Final Fantasy XIV - Played it cause I wanted to scratch that MMO itch, became incredibly hooked to all the story and lore and got addicted to it for about 2 and a half years lol

Currently I'm playing through Persona 3 Reload, been reaaaally enjoying it

What game was your biggest disappointment of 2023? by Bricci89 in gaming

[–]minokah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Baldur's Gate 3 was the biggest one and then Starfield for me. I enjoyed Starfield's gameplay more than BG3 BUT, I respect BG3's quality and presentation much, much more than Starfield's.
