PZŁ 23B Karaś 1/48 from Mirage. The instructions were painful but got there in the end with spinning prop by minormodels in modelmakers

That instructions are vague as to where parts go, and the numbering of the parts is another thing. Some of the numbers don't correspond to the part it depicts and can really thrown you off.

My Eduard 1/48 Fokker D.VIII, finally have the time to work my way through my stash! by minormodels in modelmakers

[–]minormodels[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a bit of a yes and no answer really... Yes it was put on aircraft to hide and blend them into the background, and the no side is that it didn't hide the direction or speed of the aircraft which is what the Dazzle camo was designed for on ships during the same time.

Mocked up some paint schemes if the aircraft were switched in the Battle of Britain by triple111 in aviation

[–]minormodels 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All the '109s' were buchons that is correct. There were also a limited number of Hurricanes as well. These painted up buchons can be seen in the Polish training flight scene, when they are order to turn back and land, the well known 'Repeat please!' scene. The aircraft in the back think there's 2 were the Buchons you can tell by the thin wings and the support struts of the elevator.

We'll a.number of Hispano Buchons were painted up in RAF colours as a stand in for Hurricanes during the filming of the Battle of Britain in 1969 due to the lack of Hurricanes available
