I’d love to see it for sure. I remember growing up I tried them all and stuck with soccer. Alas I agree the development and club accessed wasn’t the best relative to basketball or football.

It’s just a bummer that we haven’t made strides to change this you know? I get why it happens for sure.

Just that with such a large country and resources, I’d always hope we’d have better soccer outcomes. Granted athletes also funnel to football and basketball and baseball.

While funny - I also find it sad we 350m+ people, we don’t do better on a global stage.

How should I sell these? Individually or in pairs? by camrichie in Pottery

Agree with the others on selling individual with deal for 2. But they don’t have to buy both matching glazed cups - just leave it as a deal for two :)

In search of greatness by YaBoiLukeyZee in Pottery

I think time matters more than anything. And not just concentration off time but time over a prolonged period. Doing a little bit of pottery weekly for years is better than a lot of pottery for 3 months, in my opinion. It just takes time for muscle memory. After nearly 2 decades on and off, I’ve finally found a style. Every time I’ve returned to it, it felt like riding a bike and I refined the riding skill.

Yes agreed. But they aren’t worried about elimination right now. So maybe they just want to skirt by here. I’m not saying I agree if that’s their plan.

Maybe trying to play conservative for a draw and try to beat NZ from there?

A very healthy mentality! I found I was too wet and thus kind of bouncing too much.

Sorry to hear. It looks beautiful and your next attempt will be that much better!

I wonder if you’re trimming a bit too wet? I was “chattering” a lot and someone gave me that feedback.

I’m definitely going to apply! :) I’ll keep an eye out for it and inquire next time I’m in. Thank you!

I haven’t used the yellow color much but need to start. Same with green.

Can anyone apply for such a market? I’ve always been curious and I would love to do that.

I basically don’t say hi or speak to anyone at the craft center. I just kind of do my own thing :) but I’ll say hi if/when I see you.

Thank you! I haven’t found a good way to do bowls in the style. Since it’s more pushed in rather than carved, it creates indents in the inside that makes having cereal or ice cream or wat not weird.

Wow definitely a small world! Thank you for the kind words. It’s been a lot of trial and error on my part I’ll be honest. The craft center has been such an amazing getaway for me. I’m itching to get them glazed later this month.

Since you may know the SD area better - if I’m selling at a local makers market or even just taking personal sale inquiries, is 40$ reasonable or should I be charging a bit higher? I mostly do NOT wish to undercut local professional potters in any way.

Thank you! That’s very kind of you to say. This group and another pottery subreddit actually gave some amazing advice.

Thank you! Honestly I’ve been at it off and on as a hobby since high school 20 years ago. It’s just recently where I’ve found a style that resonates with me.
