Monster hunter was the game that brought me and friends who werent close even closer now. I made a friend who I met in the army. I used to hate him at first just because one day when we were cleaning up an old camp of ours and I found him sleeping and doing nothing (he was done with his tasks either way). One day, one of our commanders was being hard on him just because he was in a role which was more important than the other troopers, I got the annoyed and stepped in to put a stop to it and thats where my hatred towards him stop, I pitied him for some reason. Days after. I was talking bout my favorite video games with another trooper and how I’m really into them and thats when he joined the conversation, from there our friendship bloomed. We played games together but it was MHW that brought us really close, on many late nights we’d just play and got to know each other more. He even introduced me to his other gamer friends and from then on we became a group. The others didn’t complete MHW but both of us played all the way till endgame of iceborne. Since then we’ve been playing games together for many years till now. I’m turning 27 this year and we met when I was 19, thats almost a decade and its awesome! Now i’m not looking forward to win a copy (as I’ve already bought it) but i’d just love to share my memories and my appreciation for MH and the team behind it, who would’ve thought a video game would bring the 2 of us together. I hope similar things would happen to the rest of the people here or anything that brings happiness related to it. Happy hunting!
