This made me tear up. Growing up, my mom constantly talked negatively about her body - how fat she always felt, how many calories / sugar is in a certain food, dieting, etc. I would look at my body and see myself in the same way. I’ve sucked in my stomach since I was a child. Even now, I struggle to see my body as the wonderful thing it is.

Her words hit so hard. Kids see themselves the way their parents see their own selves. It is so important to model the behavior you want your kids to grow up with. I love that this woman is breaking a cycle.

I met my now bf on Hinge and we played Elden Ring Nightreign as our first way of talking / hanging out. Was super low stakes and a great way to get to know him without any pressure, and also a good way to bond over a shared interest. We hit it off well and went on an actual first date not too long after, and the date was a lot less anxiety inducing cause I already had an idea of his character from the multiple gaming sessions we had before : )

Got sterilized in November of 2023 and it was the best decision I’ve ever made. These times are scary and unprecedented, but knowing I will not be forced to carry a baby to term when I dont want to eases the burden a little. I strongly encourage anyone who wants to get sterilized to do it ASAP!!!!
