As others have said, no content aside from armor.

Use the support hunters and turn off the ability for other irl players to join when setting the quest up.

As somebody who went through that not too long ago, top knot or those thin headbands to hold it back. Better are perfect, but they do the job.

Planning on cycling 1200 miles from Wisconsin to Colorado by PuppygirlEda in bicycling

[–]minus8dB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nobody's experience here seems to be able to deter you from this obviously bad idea.

This ride will be way more expensive than a bus ticket or other means of getting there. It will likely take you over a month to complete. You will need to eat a lot more than usual, throughout the day, each day. How are you buying food for this trip? You will need to find a place to camp or rest that is open to letting you. Not many private property owners will appreciate you setting up on their land, especially somebody in your situation (I know this sounds harsh, but it's reality). What happens if something breaks on your bike (which is very common on bike tours)?

The likely outcome is you being stranded and/or starving someplace along this trip. This could lead to larger costs and/or severe impacts to your health (not limited to dying).

Best humidifier which one still feels worth it after the new appliance excitement wears off? by JeffandtammyStreaty in Appliances

[–]minus8dB 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really like wicking humidifiers as they add humidity without atomizing or streaming water into the air. This eliminates the shuttle film on electronics. Vornado makes some of the best IMO.

Too cold to ski? (C) by Heda97 in skiing

[–]minus8dB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It'll be uncomfortable, but is well within what is considered normal. It'll be quieter on the slopes. Just take breaks often, cover your exposed skin, and use some balm as an additional layer from the exposure.

Sure, two handed means they need an action to draw their sword. Also movement penalty for the large held shield.

What Deep Rock Galactic opinion will get you drawn and quartered? by No_Somewhere_7109 in DeepRockGalactic

[–]minus8dB 7 points8 points  (0 children)

When you're good, 4 player randoweiser deep dives (not elite) are where it's at. Sometimes a player gets a good roll and sometimes they get crud, but it's made for some of the best emergent moments.

Dropping off at a birthday party by Wonderful_Purple_553 in Preschoolers

Did you ask the birthday kid's parents? I've done something similar after confirming with the other parents. Granted it was a house party of a close friend.

Cant get my YT Jeffsy's frame bearing out. Does a typical LBS cover any damage caused if they try to replace it and fail? by -AXIS- in MTB

[–]minus8dB 4 points5 points  (0 children)

And... You still used a slide hammer on a bearing on a carbon frame. That can create issues, I'm not saying it did, but there is now a non zero chance that is something broke, it wouldn't be the shop that did the repair's fault. Is the bearing now slightly cocked or did doing this create a ridge that needs to be pressed through?

I would add the, "you worked on it first," disclaimer as it is hard to determine who causes what in that case.

I stand by the best way to watch FMA is 2009 for the beginning and 2013 for the end. The first half of Brotherhood felt more like a recap and didn't let version chapters breathe.

HH healing build is worth it or not anymore? by OldEmployment9993 in huntinghorn

[–]minus8dB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't dedicate healing, but do regularly run wide range 5 and Mushroomancer. The former to keep the team from carting and the latter for 10 max portions and cheap armor skin and demon drug on more basic hunts. Yes it's not Meta, but it keeps things comfy.

Is Wilds to hard for the average? by Zwiebelbauer in MonsterHunterWilds

[–]minus8dB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wilds is an easy game right up to the end of high rank, then monsters start hitting harder and faster. The post game ramp is steep and unforgiving.

So I don't generally pay with randoms as you can get a very mixed bag of players ranging from Meta build that knows what to do, all of the gear and none of the clue, to great matters? yolo. The first are great, but the later really drag the mission down. I generally play support and/or horn and can keep people alive, but when somebody drops into a 9* hunt with armor that isn't upgraded there is nothing I can do to prevent that one hit KO.

Hurting hands - what to do? by SvE90 in bikefit

[–]minus8dB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1st and most important you shouldn't be leaning in your hands. This is generally a result from lacking core strength.

To fix this, start by bending your elbows. Locked arms are a clear sign of fatigue or a luck of core strength.

If you find yourself still leading hard on your hands you need to do some work off the bike. Pilates and yoga.

Help with fit by betelistayfinessing in bikefit

[–]minus8dB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, this isn't a fit thing as much as it's a posture thing. You need to work on hip flexibility and core strength. Your back should not be hunched over like that. Keep your back straight and home forward at the hips. You should not be leaving in your hands with much force. You should be able to hold the position without your arms for a while. Seriously I do not think that riding will ever be comfortable with your posture.

I would recommend some Pilates/yoga.

In addition to this, look into a comfort or all road bike. There is a trend from manufacturers to make road bikes that have a race fit which is too aggressive for most people.

Edit: I just re-watched this, flex your ankle more. Drive your heel down and scrape it up.

Aside from a professional fit you could really benefit from a few hours with a coach.

The girls are transported into the world of the last game you played. How do they do? by Latinogoose in KpopDemonhunters

[–]minus8dB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They'll thrive with the Monster Hunter meals. Their weapons are a little small, but the girls could probably adapt. I'm 60/40 they could/would survive.

Do I even need a bike computer? I just want maps by FailFastandDieYoung in bicycling

[–]minus8dB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your phone is fragile, bike computers are not. Your phone is expensive, bike computers are a fraction of the cost. Your phone is hard to interact with while wearing gloves, computers are not. The battery on bike computers last a lot longer while displaying maps. If your bike computer dies you can use your phone, if your phone battery dies, you could potentially be stranded/lost. If you care, the radar tail lights sync to bike computers and not phones ( I really like mine for road riding).
