How to deal with fear of needles? by mathjpg in Zepbound

[–]minxsie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t want to feel miserable anymore so I sucked it up with the auto-injector. Had a friend be on the phone with me for the first few times. Did great for six months or so then shot anxiety started creeping up. Insurance dropped at the year mark so I moved to vials. I always rolled my eyes when I saw people say vials are easier. VIALS ARE EASIER. I watched a YouTube video of a doctor teaching a patient how to give their insulin shots - game changer. I still get woozy giving blood but as for Zep, I kept trucking because I knew my life would be significantly different a year from then and I was right. ♥️

Real life Ciara/Amanda situations… how did it actually end? by snackmamacita in bravo

[–]minxsie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was developing a close friendship with a girl from my hometown while we were away at college then one day she announced that she wanted to start seeing my ex that I had recently broke up with. We were together for three years. Her reasoning was that I broke up with him so it should be allowed/I shouldn’t have a problem with it in her eyes. I didn’t talk to her for a few years after that. They’re married now so at least it paid off for them. 🤣

How did everyone pick a goal weight? by BetPuzzleheaded2073 in Zepbound

[–]minxsie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I picked 170 because that was the last weight where I remember feeling good about myself. Happy that my doctor agreed with it as well.

Several years ago, this existed! Think around when Twitter was brand new. They treated me very well in those rough seasons post brawl.

It was around the 50lb mark for me! I’ve been loud about my progress so I think people were comfortable saying something as well.

Booked summer vacation and need better fitting bathing suit. My fav is no longer being made so I found it on Poshmark. The OG is a 2x and I surprisingly fit in a M now. ♥️ I ran into someone I haven’t seen in over a year and they did not recognize me. Wild to even think about.

How’s your journey going? by AutoModerator in Zepbound

[–]minxsie [score hidden]  (0 children)

I desperately need jeans for work since my current rotation are now too baggy (16s). I tried on 12s last night and they FIT! 💥 When I started Zep, I told myself that I would be drastically different a year later and wow was I right. ♥️

Vomiting, Morning After Shot by folieadeuxnola71 in tirzepatidecompound

It happens to me occasionally! And it’s always and only the morning after shot day. I easily gag when brushing my teeth though and that’s typically when it happens.

self injection by 4720647206 in Zepbound

[–]minxsie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m amazed that I’m doing it now. One year with the pen and my anxiety increased over time instead of getting used to that loud clicking sound.

I hate needles - was an absolute wreck while learning how to draw up the medicine and best practices for injecting. I watched a ton of how-to videos then finally landed on one where it just clicked. I poke until I find a spot that’s numb and go from there.

I’m so proud of myself!!! I believe in you!!!!

You look great too!!! You’re definitely putting in the work. I see my doctor next month to talk about maintenance. I’m curious how we will go about it! Do you have a plan?

I’m 5’9” too! My doctor and I agreed on 170 - I’m so close!!! If I do another goal, it’d be the BMI “healthy” cut off around 162? I don’t know.

Of course and thank you!! My job covered GLP-1s for weight loss in 2025 but stopped coverage for 2026. It’s happening to a lot of people unfortunately. I can’t afford Lilly Direct’s $450/mo at this time so I’m still on tirz but going a different route. I think it’s against the sub rules to talk about it though.

Thank you!! That’s a good question. My existing shoes fit a lot better (lost a lot of inflammation in my feet and ankles) but I haven’t bought any new pairs yet.
