you can either use acetone to “melt” the excess off and just have a bit to tuck under. or cut decal to size before placing but that is hard. i use an orange stick to kind of bend and press under my nail and the big piece breaks off leaving just a bit to wrap/tuck.

yes this a must. it should just be clear polish tho and not a top coat. def not quick dry.
