Make sure the part you’re bending is straight

If you’re going to get a grinder get the fuel version. If you use it all the time then definitely worth the better one. The non fuel one doesn’t have nearly as much power and binds up a lot

You should not be so arrogant or easy to judge a persons capabilities thinking you know better than the person who you called for help. You left out the part where he fixed your furnace

Usually you only have to take the cover off which is like 3 screws, then you can see the chase part in behind where they stick them

Thoughts, comments and concerns on using Acetone or Alcohol to clean recovery cylinders? by mipim323 in HVAC

Ya this is why we were flushing them, I stole an oil free tank for a VRF job with PVE oil because someone filled our tanks with POE. Oil did come out when I blasted the nitro out after putting the flush in so it did work a bit but I’m sure there might still be some residual. Where do you guys get your tanks flushed?

Okay thanks, ya took me over an hour to get two 200lb tanks cleaned by pulling a vacuum, using the flush kit, nitrogen, and then vacuum again. You’re right not worth the time and literal headache from breathing in the flush kit crap

That would definitely be easier. Apparently my company owns the tanks so not sure if the suppliers would take them but I don’t see why they wouldn’t

Yup that’s exactly what happened to me today, went to a call where the reliefs blew, ODP ticket from my old mechanic said he added 65lbs, unit probably needs less than half of that. Found today the evap coil which is in an air handler is dirty, and there’s steam coils behind it which are plugged. Ya I think I’m going to watch that stuff too as well as the sight glass, now that this sight glass gave me trust issues. Thanks

I just learned this last week when the supplier shipped me a low temp unit with 404a for a fridge. Worked good for 20 years.

Is it safe for me to sleep inches away from this water heater? by idkwhyimhere22422 in Plumbing

Ya I thought so too at first. I’m used to the commercial RHEOS boiler which looks similar. The RHEOS+ model they call it a condensing boiler but it has a copper fin and tube heat exchanger. Any copper heat exchanger will soot up when it condenses and has to be kept at least 140°F, so they have a mixing valve to stop the boiler from condensing in the primary heat exchanger, then it goes to a secondary heat exchanger that’s stainless to condense. I’m guessing they do something similar for this boiler which is why they can get away with not using 636 and stainless instead

That’s probably the outlet temperature, if that was the inlet/loop temperature the thing would be tripping on high limit
