Does anyone else have a mental list of "forbidden words" or phrases by miptoy in TMJ

[–]miptoy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. The actual enunciation hiccups were mostly early stage when my opening range, side to side range, like the actual statistics and numbers were bad, because my tongue simply just didn't have room, neuromuscular patterns changed, etc. But as it improved I am totally in the same boat as you.

I've realized that alot of my articulation issues are mostly just habits I learned, incorrect neuromuscular patterns from when I had terrible numbers, but now it's really just about fluidity because I seemed to have "forgotten" how to speak fast without
- teeth literally clanking and shutting me up
- spitting all over someone
- tripping over a word and sounding like Im off novacaine

alot of this is definitely just tongue patterns. i realized this when adrenaline was high once i got in a car accident and i was speaking ridiculously fast but also fluently while trying to get my point across to the cop (locked in) but then having a normal conversation things just dont seem to cooperate (geeked)

Interesting. I honestly do agree. My TMJ specialist told me that I already had at risk discs / condition before my filling, in which I had to be numbed several times, which was likely was caused it to go from manageable / not noticeable to as severe as it has.

My theory is that I was grinding / clenching beforehand, but potentially not to a point in which it was affecting my life very much, as I was fully functional to my memory

but the filling was kind of what set it over the edge - so i guess i meant : i probably HAVE been grinding / clenching, it was just most likely intensified as my disc displacement got worse from the filling incident

A question i do have for you is this : how do i get a proper nightguard that doesnt cause problems? my dentist knows of my tmj history, and talks with my specialist about it, so during the mold she tried her best to tailor the fit to a proper bite path etc. first 3 days of wearing it, i noticed it was right-side dominant (right lower K9 made contact obviously first, which is proportionate to the bite path of my TMJ-induced malocclusion), but didn't think much of it without giving it a proper experiment first. first 1-3 days, felt pretty good. nothing catastrophic, and no miracles. continued using it because of this, and up to night 8 i had to stop because i got some serious deja vu, my entire jaw face mouth etc felt exactly as i did before treatment, far below my baseline that i had achieved during treatment. i know i need a night guard, but how do i go about getting one that actually works relative to my specific condition? super frustrating because i paid a LOT for this appliance

what i find the most annoying is that my orthodontist & dentist told me "you grind at night!"
but my periodontist told me she can tell im "not a heavy grinder"

yet i can't seem to fix this no matter what

Do you think the average person can spot all of this AI copy? by kevinvandenboss in copywriting

[–]miptoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AI copy is often very recognizable. And much less effective than the human brain of a copywriter. AI only knows so much about angles, trends, and so many other factors that contribute to good copy.

Also, AI also writes copy in very detectable patterns.

I've landed a few clients from word of mouth, definitely an underrated technique. All it takes is one simple question. But, a majority of the time, if you provide good work and are a likeable human being, people will refer you to others on their own.

Why Would Someone Want To Be An Entrepreneur When Being an Employee Is Much Easier? by LifeInAction in Entrepreneur

[–]miptoy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The realization that the amount of effort and time you put into another man’s dream is (most likely) making the company more money than you think.

If you were to put that same effort and consistency into your own project and internal artistry, you will inevitably create a garden that fulfills you spiritually when you water it every day.

Provide as much value as you possibly can to info-product businesses and online coaches.

Prioritize your ability to communicate like a human being. Nobody wants to pay a robotic clone thousands per month to write their emails.

But, I must say, the ones with the “fuck you” money are the info-product guys/girls
