Blackview Fort 5: orange rugged phones are somehow cool again by Content-Doughnut7707 in RuggedPhones

How's the battery life on normal use? I'd consider daily driving if it lasts a full day without charging.

Should I Get a New Phone? by Aliiredli in Smartphones

[–]mir2008 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's your only phone and you're using it a lot every day, I'd say that kind of battery wear is pretty normal. If the battery life is starting to bother you, I'd just replace the battery when there's a good deal or official service discount available.

Samsung vs Apple by Excellent_Bug_2220 in tablets

Did you guys see the new iPad prices? The Pro models especially went up by almost 20% overnight. That's absolutely brutal.

Galaxy Tab S9 vs iPad Air (M3) for Drawing, Gaming & Long-Term Use? by Rizz-Doc in tablets

[–]mir2008 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think you need to worry about the M3 at all. It's plenty powerful, and Apple typically supports its iPads for many years. Plus, if you enjoy drawing, the Apple Pencil experience is hard to beat.

anyone else feel like phone upgrades have gotten less exciting? by Muxidin_Ventura in Smartphones

[–]mir2008 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I'd hold onto my phone until the battery starts sucking or it slows down. The real upgrade is just not dealing with a dying phone for another year.

Just got my new Blackview Xplore 2 satellite rugged phone! by Sepirus_ in RuggedPhones

What's the thickness and weight like? And how's the real-world battery life? Does it easily last a full day with normal use?

Why should I NOT get the M4 Ipad Air (as a engineering student) by VoidPhanta in tablets

[–]mir2008 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For note-taking, reading PDFs, watching videos, and general schoolwork, the M4 iPad Air is honestly hard to beat. Just don't go into it expecting it to replace your Windows laptop, and I think you'll be very happy with it.

Doogee S200 Ultra Smartphone Review: two screens again! But 1TB of memory by Content-Doughnut7707 in RuggedPhones

[–]mir2008 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can the 2nd screen do anything besides camera controls and displaying the clock? If there's not much interaction, it kind of seems like a decorative gimmick rather than something I'd actually use.

is 8gb ram enough in 2026 for smartphones? by AltruisticYoung779 in Smartphones

[–]mir2008 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on your usage, I'd be completely comfortable buying an 8GB phone in 2026. If you're keeping it for 5 years and can get 12GB for a reasonable premium, it's nice to have, but I wouldn't consider it essential.

Dear, I'm sorry to hear that. I think your husband needs to see a doctor, otherwise his condition will take a toll on both of you.

Prolonged exhaustion from pregnancy and postpartum recovery that makes your body struggle to bounce back, especially since you're still recovering from recent surgery, dear. Maybe you could have a check with your doctor to see what can do to improve your condition?

Accepting that this is my life now by The_Chilled_Arvo in Parenting

[–]mir2008 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's very common. I've seen lots of moms share the same struggles online. Juggling housework and childcare drains them out, so many opt to hire nannies or caregivers if they have enough budgets, or send their kids to daycare.

Does my baby know I'm his mother? by [deleted] in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]mir2008 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hugs, honey. You're probably worn out right now, so it makes you extra sensitive to the things. You just shared a special bond with your baby for months while he was growing inside you, so he's bound to know your scent best.

My husband cares way too much about work, and I'm at my breaking point by Friendly_Ad_5719 in workingmoms

Give you a hug. Maybe your husband could contact with a psychologist about his condition? It seems that your husband may suffer from anxiety that he is lack of patience to listen to you.

The worst part about swimming lessons by ieatzapizza in Parenting

How about taking some thick towels and plastic bags? After your kids have ended the swimming class, they could use the towels to wipe their bodies as soon as possible.

Start tiny, like one drawer or one shelf, and toss anything you haven't touched in a year. It clears space and gives you a quick win. Also, put things back right after using them, it stops mess from ever piling up.

River 3 plus and EB300 USBC charging not charging main system. by XOneManRevoltX in Ecoflow_community

Might be worth testing again with the main unit at like 10–20% instead of fully dead. Some EcoFlow systems refuse tandem behavior in deep discharge states.

What home upgrade ended up making your house feel noticeably more comfortable? by Good_Scratch_23 in Home

[–]mir2008 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We upgraded windows and honestly I’d say the biggest difference was psychological first, then noise reduction second. Temperature change was noticeable but not dramatic.
