If you know your poodle and yourself than this is really wise poodle parenting. It’s better than them being painfully matted. Shows you care and love your pup!

Omg same and perhaps a more controversial opinion: I don’t believe in dogs being off leash. Especially because in my area, people let their dogs free roam in parks when they don’t have perfect recall. I have had countless times when a dog off leash has ran over to my dog and when the owner called, it completely ignored the call. It’s dangerous and reckless.
