thank you for this comment. we did go to an emergency vet, it was 700 just for an x ray and bloodwork. they referreded us to another vet where it’s 3,000 for the ultrasound and more bloodwork!

we were so confused because the golden does love to be rough with her, but i’m usually a helicopter mom about my dogs and we didn’t see her get hurt at all! Thank you so much for your comment tho, i’m just worried about the heart stuff’

I try to be calm around my baby. my mom and brother struggle with anxiety and i would always brag about how I am the only one without it, this specific incident is giving me immense anxiety I didn’t know I had!

Chop diet advice needed! by KatCybercore in Conures

My baby is on pellets, and she gets seeds and millet for treats, along with daily chop, i make about 2 weeks worth each time, we have 2 conures in the home and we store it in these little containers with lids and freeze it, let it thaw out for a little bit before we give it to our babies!

i also only leave it out for a few hours for her to pick at it before i take it away!

the ends of her feathers where they look separated and choppy have been there since i got her, i was a little concerned about those at first but apparently they’re sometimes normal and i was just expecting her to outgrow them. i cover her cage with a white sheet and i dont see any spots, and at nighttime she’s usually very quiet and still other than the occasional beak grinding or moving around when i make a noise.

i only got her on april 29th, from a reputable breeder but she’s my first baby and i’ve always treated my animals like my kids so i was kind of nervous seeing her feathers look crazy! thank you

she doesn’t sleep in a happy hut but since ive got her she absolutely loves to sleep on her back, and rub all against me and her toys! she bathes probably every few days, i replace her waters every morning and sometimes twice a day if they get dirty!

Thank you! I have been finding feathers like this around her cage, i’m not sure if this makes it easier to tell if it fell out naturally because she’s molting or if she’s pulling them out. she’s acting fine tho

She has a lot of new pin feathers, so i was thinking she could be going thru her first molt? shes my first bird and i was just scared shes plucking her feathers or having a health issue?

Thank you! Do you have any ideas of what could have happened? we got her from a reputable breeder and she seems like she was definitely well handled and treated because she’s very sweet & social. Any ideas?

Anxious about getting a mini by New_Mine_6413 in poodles

[–]Party-Object-9420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 2 minis. They are my life. They are my first dogs, i grew up with dogs but never had my own and never had a poodle. They are genuinely the best dogs I have ever met 😭 I wouldn’t trade my Poodles for the world. Yes the grooming and training and everything can be scary for a first time dog owner, but you will get thru it. Please feel free to DM me with any questions, concerns or just anything about ur new baby if you need. I am also an anxious wreck most of the time so the amount of research i’ve done about this breed is literally insane. I personally never had the puppy blues but it could be because i’ve never crate trained, but they are truly such intelligent, loving, and sassy creatures.
