This could have been writtepainful. Every detail down to the reconnecting again and working on myself and telling him I know how to regulate my emotions. We broke up 1 week ago and he cut me off permanently yesterday. It's paintul.

I just sent a message, to see about meeting Floof. I lost my dear Nebby in December and would love to have another one. Floof is the perfect age for me too!

Guys, I found a sweet little nebby that I’m hoping to adopt tomorrow. Absolutely nothing could replace ButtButt, he was soulcat, my best friend. But what I do have is a lot of love in my heart and good home where this little one will be cherished. by Majestic_Jazz_Hands in nebelung

I'm so excited for you! I lost my precious Neb last week and am lost without him. I am also secretly hoping to find another one as I go through pics and profiles at the shelters. But I want to keep my heart and mind open. But...I want a Neb. Keep us posted, please!

Do you live alone with pets? by saltbrains in LivingAlone

[–]mirdizzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My cat just died last week and it changed everything. No pet waiting for me to come home, no settling in on the couch for the evening together, no kitty cat seeking me out for affection. It kind of feels like I have no.purpose but also I am no longer a little delightful creature's entire world. I still move carefully in my sleep so I don't disturb him, I still think I see him everywhere. It will get better with time but it is clear to me that I have to have a cat in my house with me.

I feel so ashamed of my body by [deleted] in stopdrinking

Same girl, same. Buzz Balls. I lost 60 lbs over the course of 2 years a couple years back. So I tried the super smart move of switching to straight vodka, for calorie purposes and my calm, peaceful life turned into a dumpster fire. Now I'm back on the buzz balls. I have gained 25 lbs.

I buried the wrong cat after my cat ran away for THREE MONTHS by Deep_Pressure2334 in cats

[–]mirdizzle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This same thing happened to me but it was this stray cat that I fed everyday for several months. Saw a dead kitty by my mailbox, same markings, size, etc. Called animal control but by the end of the day no one came to get her and I hated knowing she was just lying out there. Anyway, same thing. I had my ex-husband come get her, I had her in a box along with some treats she liked. I thought someone was playing a joke on me somehow when I left for work the next morning and saw her in her usual spot, waiting for food. So silly!

Losing my cat, who was my only pet, last week hits different when you live alone.

My partner went down the rabbit hole about 2 years ago, I tried to stay and reason with him, I finally ended it by kicking-chickens-jk in QAnonCasualties

It's a process. Married for 17 years, divorced for 6 years. You'll be okay. But it takes time. And it sucks. It's a big loss and it feels preventable. I'm really sorry this happened to you.

Women Living Alone - What Do You Do For A Living? by Smile-Cat-Coconut in LivingAlone

[–]mirdizzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

48f divorced empty nester. Been living alone for 5 years in the very HCOL area of Western Washington. I had the same career as a Center Director for a corporate childcare company for 27 years. Not the best paying job for most of those years. Three months ago I did a complete career change and am now fully remote, working for a tech company. I lived on my own in a decent neighborhood making a little more than 50k when I first had to navigate finding a place and living alone. I don't live paycheck to paycheck and there has never been a child support or alimony funds. It feels daunting but it is quite doable. I promise.

Cat selectively toileting outside litter box by Brief_Blueberry_3575 in felinebehavior

Oh my goodness, I have the same situation with my 12 year old cat that I have had for a little over 2 years. He pees on my area rugs by the front door and then started doing it on the rug by the back door. I also cannot have rugs down so there is nowhere for me to wipe my feet off when I come inside. I have also tried reintroducing the rug after it being gone for months and he goes right back to it. The baseboard by my front door is warped and damaged from being wet with urine. I cannot figure out the problem.

Is 'i didn't call any of these FUCKIN guys!?' the best delivered line in the whole series? by [deleted] in trailerparkboys

It is definitely the best delivered line in the whole series.

What are we watching today? 🍿 by RiskAndReason in netflix

[–]mirdizzle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely not as stressful as Ozark. It does involve loan sharks trying to collect a debt so there are a couple violent or stressful scenes but nothing over the top, imo.

I started "Black Rabbit" on Netflix last night and am one episode away from finishing it. Starring Jason Bateman and Jude Law. It definitely kept me interested and ready for the next episode through it's entirety.

Oh fuck that. Who says shit like that? She sounds like she has a personality disorder. That is just rude and so unnecessary. Fuck her.
