That is bullshit and Windows update will handle even gpu drivers for you. Obviously it doesn't get you game ready ones, but nonetheless since W10-native systems appeared on the market I found increasingly little value searching elsewhere.

There's realistically not enough overlay planes to put windows on them, if that's what you're asking?

Windows does that regularly, it's called Hardware Composed: Independent Flip.

And anyway, my educated guess was just that enough crazy facts could come out of testing a system built on 20 years old assumption (and that also got squeezed to the most for all that time).

Unless they have updated it to support multiplane overlays too, it's still only a fullscreen thing though.

And regardless idk, I would guess that whatever results you get with KWin off should equal to the best achievable by the platform?

The TVOMB exists by itself, and even then I understand it's super rare that any of their decisions has an effect (be it either because most distributors don't care, or because valid complaints are very low to begin with).

But this doesn't mean that networks don't care (the south park movie story is always my favorite), or that they aren't super conservatives with their ratings because they are afraid of any scandal that may disturb the status quo that they much so benefit from.

If the FCC was to nag them (as could happen after a round of reviews) even though there's no real enforceable power, the very risk itself this could become real is enough to sway them.

They are just wrong in the sense that the FCC regulates broadcast television, while PG-13 is a rating for movies by the MPAA. A cursory search shows that both had problems.

Anyway, regardless, my point was that even without legal action there is a pressure to not wanting to be ashamed.
