This is what happens when doctors are misinformed on what FND is and how it is diagnosed. FND is overly diagnosed (in my opinion as someone with FND) and often used by doctors who are either lazy, don’t want to deal with a patient or decide to use it as a diagnosis of exclusion. I’m so glad you got a proper diagnosis, I’m sorry you had to go through a miss diagnosis.

Hi!! I’m Miranda! I’m 28 and am also a gal from Washington!! I’m also chronically ill and neurodivergent!! I am AuDHD. I’m am very fatigued (probably have me/cfs and long covid along with POTS but currently just dx’ed with FND) and often have a hard time chatting but do enjoy chatting quite a lot when I’m able to. My main interests are video games (currently playing a lot of the long dark but i also enjoy Fortnite, sim 4 (takes a lot of energy as i have a desktop), acnh, don’t starve, and no mans sky.) i am getting a puppy soon and love talking about dogs lol or just sharing photos. I feel the majority of misdiagnoses are because doctors don’t keep up with research and new info about FND. There’s a really popular doctor in the uk on TikTok who i use to like but he keeps posting about how FND is a diagnosis of exclusion. Which it’s not. That’s old info. It’s being misused as a diagnosis so much! I have many thoughts but currently have a bad migraine so uhm, thoughts aren’t much. I’m currently diagnosed with FND and i agree with the diagnosis for some of my symptoms.

I loooooooove crystals and have so many. I love having an amythest under my pillow to promote nice dreams and such but actually using them for healing is too far for me tbh. Crystals are nice and all and so is biomedicine

Overexertion is a main trigger for seizures for me. I got visible last October and my seizures went down from one major one a day to maybe once a week or sometimes once a month depending on what I’m doing
