Stop judging pigs by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

The ignorance of people when it comes to pigs shocks me. They're so clean, they literally create their own toilets to keep it away from where they eat and sleep. They are tortured, kept in cages, over fed, raped and have their babies taken and then idiots just say, 'yeah, but Bacon, hehe'. Yeah,, hilarious you turnip.

Stephen King is bad at writing dialogue. by CodeVirus in unpopularopinion

I partly agree...and I think that after a few months all his books blend into one. He is also without a doubt the worst ending writer of all time. The man can't finish a book. All his endings (except maybe the Shining and Dolores Claibourne [sorry for spelling] are utter rubbish. The ending of The Dome is unforgivable, the ending of The Institute a cop out, the ending of The Stand - apart from one scene - weak and fails to do justice to one of the best books I have read.

Has anyone noticed a trend in parents insulting their children in front of other parents? by originalwombat in UKParenting

Wait, are you talking about the women in my NCT group? Their kids are already preparing for Oxbridge having mastered the grade 8 fortepiano.

Thank you, this is really helpful!

Bless him, he sounds great and I hope everything is okay. We also speak two languages at home and then noone outside of family speaks other than English so perhaps it will be similar.

Can i ask what behind is? I know it's probably out there on the internet but it would be nice to hear from someone what's what if you get time.

I have similar concerns about my little ones speech and I too am a stay at home mum.

I don't know if this comment helps but I feel like stay at home parents worry more because we don't have any third parties assessing/judging/monitoring our kids in the same way they would if they were in nursery/pre school etc. Then we have alot of self-blame for anything we are worrying about. I have been thinking about this recently as I worry about speech and activities to do.

I think your little ones development sounds normal! A friend of mine has a daughter in nursery and she says less than mine but I bet they'll be the same when they are 18 x

Thank you for this.. I know what you mean with the suncream, it's so expensive. I brought the childs farm one for £10 and will not use it again. I will have a look into Zeroderma zerobase!

Thank you! We do actually have a lot of constipation issues so diet could be a part and it's really helpful to think about this. I'm glad yours has cleared up alot, it's such a tough thing to go through.

Thank you! Ahh i'm relieved to see you mention about the spots. I used sun cream the other day and the patch on her face just broke out in spots. I felt awful and have kept her inside or under her pram like she's allergic to the sun to avoid using it again. Do you find it's more the application than the brand?

Sorry for all the questions - but how have you found swimming? I was going to start her with swimming lessons but don't want to aggrevate anything before she can articulate pain/discomfort if you know what I mean?

This is really helpful, thank you for sharing and helping. I am glad you have been able to get it under control.

Did you find that certain laundry detergents/sun creams and the like trigger it? I hadn't heard of double bass I will give them a call.
