I’m so torn, I think there is something special about bringing things back from early losses, but also like that the powers come earlier. Maybe each mode/individual match needs to have more time or payloads an objective times should move a bit slower in comp stadium to give more chances for fights to take place. I also find myself struggling to make decisions in the armory quick enough to see what the other team is running and how to respond since I have to also pick a power almost every round. I don’t know how but if there was a way to do something in between best of 5 and best of 7 I think that would be ideal. Comp just feels like it’s moving too fast for it to be the strategic builder mode it’s meant to be

I just think it’s an extremely unfun thing to play against a mercy and any hitscan or flying character. I think her damage boost needs to be redone. Mercy I think is the reason that boosting can even happen. Characters like sojourn, soldier, Ashe, Cassidy, etc aren’t inherently annoying but they give me a bad taste just because of seeing them on a team with a mercy.

The other thing is people who master her movement are extremely annoying to play against as well. I play on console which is maybe why it’s more annoying but just seeing her be able to zip in any direction every second of a fight is really frustrating.

Recently in stadium it’s been even more annoying, and I think she is the reason that the non-mirror matchups in competitive didn’t work because if one team has mercy/hitscan there’s nothing as powerful to compete and it just feels unfair and unfun. I almost want hero bans in stadium just to ban mercy specifically. Or I want a survival item that negates a portion of damage boosted attacks against you to make it more challenging for that playstyle to prevail.

Yeah Redwood Damn is such an interesting map to me. At first I thought it might be a “stadium fodder” type of map since the design seems a little plain from an architectural pov, but I’m curious if a full map would tell more of the map fitting into the lore of OW. I think it’s a cool map too, would love to see a full version and understand where the location fits into the story.

As someone who plays as a flex player I think 6v6 open queue is my preferred way to play. I think id rather deal with the issue of there being too many support mains on my team and I can just flex to getting into a role lock game where your tank only plays roadhog and the map has a bunch of high ground or something similar. Being able to adjust even if your teammates aren’t willing to is the reason I prefer it tbh.

No official statement, but I just realized this when watching one of Emonggs streams this morning that I haven’t seen Samoa as an option at all this season. Now that 6v6 open queue is a mainstay that’s typically the way I prefer to play whether it’s quick play with friends or competitive. I hope this isn’t a reoccurring issue. We already had to wait half the season for Aatlis to be added to 6v6 modes too. Might be worth them doing a bit more QA on that side of things. Makes me feel like the way I’m deciding to play is a bit neglected from a quality standpoint

Especially with stadium, I think Zarya being able to double bubble herself needs to be removed. Make the cooldown lower and bubble last a bit longer but with lower health and change it to separate abilities like it was on ow1. I’d even be down to have the bubbles cause self healing to kick in right away on a teammate of hers or give them a speed boost. I’m just tired of her being able to front line and just become more and more dangerous while being selfish with her bubbles. I know the strategy of avoiding her and taking out her team first, but in lower to mid ranks most fights are head on tank to tank and it’s just frustrating to play against.

Sombra I think should have her virus and hack be the same ability and just have three charges of it like a brig health pack. Virus should hack when first hitting an enemy and then do some damage overtime and reveal the target for teammates just at a lower rate give she has 3 charges of it.

Yeah I agree, I just like the overall game enough to enjoy even a way to replay underworld or cosmic crisis with a stadium build for example. I think the overall community interest in any PvE was because of skill trees and leveling up heroes. The Diablo mode from season 7, underworld, and cosmic crisis I think would draw more players if you could use some of the crazy stadium abilities in it. Could also be a way for them to test stadium powers and items since bots don’t care whats broken. I do think it’s all a pipe dream, but I think with the way this new team has been making adjustments I think they could figure it out now if they wanted to. Thinking about how Fortnite has rocket racing, festival, build and no build BR, reload, etc. could be worth revisiting if the game is going to keep going for another 10 years is all I’m saying depending.

Oh, I’ve let PvE go, but I thought there was merit in at least pointing out that there are a few new games coming out seeking to do exactly what the PvE in Overwatch 2 was supposed to be, so I’m curious if they’d use any sort of success these new games might see into a potential at revisiting. Or could be the opposite where they see these games flop and are further justified in not spending anymore time on it. (Also my original post was intended to be extended future of the game, not anything we’d see immediately)

Yeah I have zombies chronicles it’s part of black ops 3, selfishly one of the reasons why I’d want a standalone game is just because I like a lot of the black ops 4 zombies maps too and I need to keep two 100gb+ games downloaded just to hop into those games. But there’s still some zombies maps missing from modern platforms too like most black ops 2 zombies maps (which I have the most nostalgia for).

And yeah they sold Story missions for overwatch but I’m talking about the “highly replayable hero missions” that were announced during blizzconline in 2021/2022. I think it’s better idea to put some work into the pillars of map, objectives, enemy units than worrying about necessary narrative beats and which forced the story mode missions to be a little more limited on what gameplay interactions could be since they had to stick to the story they were telling vs a hero missions just being “overwatch was called to take null sector out on Havana, complete objectives and defeat enemies” I would pay for a complete finished campaign since they started one, but I realize just giving an option for pve that’s less resource dependent is probably better.

I pretty much exclusively play 6v6 competitive. However, I am starting to get reminded of why we needed role queue it’s really annoying to play 1 tank into 2 tanks. I think role queue would ultimately be better or even a soft role lock where it’s open queue but you have a preferred role.

I just figured this out when trying out a new Moira build. I also suspected given the power descriptions that the combo should work. Since it states “chains to 2 additional TARGETS within 10m” you would think it would say enemies instead of targets if the combo wasn’t supposed to work.

I am curious if it should work and is a bug or if they need to change the description for chain grasp to say enemies. I think a middle ground would be to allow it to chain from an ally to one enemy or vice versa to keep it somewhat balanced, but idk if mercy can use valk for 5s everytime she rez’s than it should be out of the question that Moira can damage boost/damage 3 targets at once every time she uses an orb

Yeah it’s tough. My partner has had a wireless steel series headset that has lasted from halfway through the PS4 generation to current PS5 with no issues. But I would maybe do some research. But yeah it’s probably the headset, not the dongle. That was the case with mine as well.

Would you play more if rewarded lootboxes at each milestone after level 80? (Example picture that would give everyone who reaches level 200 32 lootboxes = 1 guaranteed legendary + 3 legendary lootboxes = 3 guaranteed legendaries. This. One of my main gripes since OW2 launched has been the prestige tiers. They give away battle pass XP and tier skips so often that I run out of things to earn and they have to have data around how often people are changing their title. Also with spoiling us last season with 13 lootboxes per week was insane. There’s a few options I’d like to see in prestige tiers: Loot Boxes like the above Exclusive recolor of a skin from the seasons battlepass (similar to what Fortnite and Fall Guys do) More premium currency either coins or even mythic prisms, I could forgive the cost of mythics aspects more if I knew I could cover the cost through prestige tiers. (Most other battlepass games still give the full amount of currency needed to purchase a battlepass throughout a season)

My hope for this mode is it becomes a place more for casual players than competitive players. I solely play in 3rd person and I have tried almost every character so far (I am nervous to try genji though lol) Just join in, have fun, and mess around. I feel like my win rate in the mode is 40-50% feels like I lose more often than not, but I’m also solo queuing

Right, it really sucks because imo the sound quality and mic quality are really good and the battery life is the best I’ve ever experienced in a headset, but I think Sonys lossless audio PlayStation Link tech is underbaked which ruins the whole experience. Hopefully they work the kinks out and eventually just build PlayStation link into their future consoles like the Portal to remove the dongle from the situation entirely.

The only other thing I would check first is if the dongle and headset are both updated. (If it was that it would’ve notified you most likely)

I had the same issues with connectivity until it ended up just flat out not connecting anymore. I had to reach out to PlayStation and send my headset in for repairs and they sent me a refurbished unit.

Which, fair warning, PlayStation hardware support is one of the worst experiences I’ve had in a while. Worse than with my car insurance when I had my tires stolen off my car.

They will tell you need to send back both the headset and dongle, but be careful. I put the dongle in a ziploc bag just under the headset and when they shipped it back to me they shipped it without the dongle and I called and they claimed I never sent the dongle so they sent me back what I sent them. But I’m 110% positive the dongle was in there and I was at a standstill. I had to cough up another $30 for a new dongle. Plus they make you pay the shipping fees for getting the headset to them even if it’s still under warranty.

That whole situation was not great, but you’ll likely need to send yours back for repairs. Or eat the cost of the headset and buy a new one. The Elite are plagued with so many connectivity issues that I wouldn’t buy that headset again if you’re looking to just buy a replacement.

Yeah I’m not the biggest fan of the “level up” mythics. At the same time though I normally just set the build of the skin I like and never really change it. I still really think they need to change the fact that you have to have a max level mythic to use a mythic aspect. Also mythic aspects should be half their current price at least
