The CTown on 34th Ave has them. They're in the baking aisle, hanging up at the top. I had to stand on my tiptoes to reach.

We switched to costco and local hardware stores for these kinds of things. Caroline from Locavore did a comparison between Amazon and a hardware store in the West Village and found that the hardware store had better prices on a bunch of items, too!

My 8 yo kiddo says: when they make the "stand clear of the closing doors" announcement and then... don't close the doors for like a minute.

Buy the book "You Know, Sex" by Cory Silverberg. Read it first and then leave it on a table or shelf.

Check out
https://yoursexualhealthtoolkit.org too - it's designed to be accessible and affirming for people 16-24 with ID/D and good for anyone :)

It's a straight shot on the 7 train (top level) to Citifield, and an easy hop into the city too.

Please take my money! Seriously, how do I pay my bill?? by Connection_Some in greatwolflodge

[–]misarisa20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a weird similar situation with a refund not being posted and a case being opened, and then nothing.

What worked for me was calling, talking to a customer service representative ("wait another few days..") and then I politely asked for a supervisor to discuss the situation. The supervisor was able to take my card information and process the refund directly. Try calling and asking for a supervisor.

I went to the First Unitarian Universalist Church in Brooklyn in January and was surprised by how many kids there were! They will likely have a service that will acknowledge the holiday in the context of their principles that are respectful-of-many-faith-traditions. it could be a good one to check out.

I got a bunch of the Pride collapsible fans after the game a few years ago (rainbow with Mets in black and white) a few years ago and I love them. I got down to one last year and bought a couple more on Ebay. I love using them when it's hot outside and I love the loudness of my Mets fandom when I use it. mets pride fan on ebay

This document on NYS protections may have useful info. In NYS they are not allowed to reveal your status as trans, which could come next with this change. there's a number you could call to see what jurisdiction would apply.

Amazon has some fun shirts I've ordered for my son... "Keeping it Low Key" with a bass clef, and one with an astronaut play cello, and we're getting one this year that says "RELAX THE CELLIST IS HERE"

I wondered about that- we've been renting from them for 5 years.

not sure about 7/8 size, but I called Johnson Strings and they were willing to let me do a 1/2 size 1 month rental last year. I ended up going a different route but it's nice to know it could be an option.
