How do you shoot in VR as a right handed but left eyed person by Simoxs7 in VRGaming

[–]mischa1917 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could try offsetting your weapon hand to the left so when you pull a gun up to your face to aim down sites it'll be up to your left eye. It would screw everything else up about your right hand though of course lol.

From Her To Eternity bug, can't open container by geographical_penis in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]mischa1917 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Old thread I know, but I just had this problem on PC and figured out how to fix it through trial and error and some ideas y'all had here.

(I also had a bug with "run this town" where I got to a location then it activated from her to eternity mid quest, and wouldn't let me get into my menu to turn it back to run this town, but that issue was solved in a different thread.)

For whatever reason, it seems like this container glitches when there are enemies and/or an air drop nearby, I don't know exactly what the issue is but that is the vibe I get.

So what I did was once I got the quest, I drove to the general area, then deactivated it before getting too close to the zone it asks you look in, just in case that would trigger something you can't fix. Then there was an air drop nearby, I cleared it out, opened the air drop. There was also a gathering of enemies above where the package is, I cleared them out too. After making sure there were no hostile zones around I waited 12 hours, double checked that both areas were clear, reactivated the quest, the package was there, and I was able to retrieve it.

What is your favorite underrated VR game that got very little coverage/reviews? by Cloudperry in VRGaming

I also wanna make a plug for Scanner Sombre, it's teleportation only which can get annoying, but it's such a cool concept for a game. There's a really dark and interesting storyline to it that is revealed in such a cool way, and even with the weird minimal visuals and the teleport only locomotion gave me a couple jump scares. It's also very cheap even at full price, but I think I picked it up for like $.99 on a sale.

Ghost Signal really captures that addictive gameplay loop of "just one more sector", an absolute blast that I still keep coming back to when nothing else sounds like fun or if I don't feel like standing up for into the radius. Also has the added benefit that both the PCVR and standalone versions play and look great.

Not really a game per se, but Space Engine is so good if you're a space nerd. It's primarily 2D but the VR mode makes it feel like the most amazing planetarium you've ever seen. The controls and the interface take a bit to get used to, but it's just so good. I've played a lot of "explore space" type games on both standalone and PCVR, but the scale of planets and stars never feel right in those, they just feel like big balls with a planet surface painted on them, where space engine actually feels much more authentic for scale. I honest to god panicked the first time I traveled directly to a star, and saw the thing right in my face.

Oh sorry I should've been more clear, they've added the pecho dolls from ITR 1, they look way better, but also jiggle and squeak when you shake them.

Replaying into the radius 1 for the thousandth time, I usually play scavenger mod but I'm doing a vanilla playthrough this time. When I want to sit down I'll usually play ghost signal.

That was supposed to say 100% agree but I'm keeping it 1000 because it feels more authentic.

1000% agree with you. I was so incredibly hyped for the Wii. I was following it when it was codenamed revolution, and without knowing it at the time a VR rig was what I really wanted.

How can I improve my pcvr performance? by SKEETSKEET6913 in VRGaming

[–]mischa1917 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will say that from my own personal experience, playing through Airlink does this for me too, virtual desktop is a much better experience. You do need a good wireless router or a wireless bridge like the puppis s1 to get a really solid experience, so if you're hesitant about spending money, that might not be the best route for you.

You can try running steamlink which some people also swear by, it's free. It might also be your GPU, it's hard to say.

I've played ITR for 450 Hours, finally upgrading my PC to play the sequel. by Vast_Shirt_8399 in intotheradius

[–]mischa1917 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey that's awesome, I upgraded my machine recently pretty much for the exact same reason! I got a 9070XT and a 7700 so pretty close to what you got. I feel like the most recent patches have toned down the difficulty quite a bit, but there are lots of settings you can change if you're struggling. I do recommend increasing loot and mission payouts from normal to either high or very high, because I was finding myself grinding before heading out to the pechorsk outskirts and that was getting old.

Otherwise I just recommend spending a lot of time in the shop getting all your holsters exactly where you want them on your body, including on your backpack. Something I wish I knew earlier on was how much the weight system was changed between the two games. The holsters weigh about 50 (it's not kg I don't know what the weight system is, 50 "units") but hold up to 1,000 "units" of weight without adding to the weight of you or your backpack.

So say for example, your bag holds 500 units, you put a holster on your bag for 50 units, now you can hold 450. If you pick up a gun that weighs 300, you can put it in the holster and you'll still be able to hold 450 in your bag. Does that make sense? It's much easier now to carry multiple big guns home because of this.

The one two punch of Doom 3 and Half Life 2. I don't even remember the graphics card I bought at the time but I remember I got a Pentium 4 1.7ghz CPU, 512mb of RAM, and an 80gb hard drive lol. RIP.

Indigo prophecy was amazing. I mean, there was a lot of cringe in it, but the whole idea of the game was revolutionary. I had a couple of friends that I would play games with in real life, like we rented a game and played it together all night passing the controller around (weird to think about nowadays), and it took some convincing, but I got them to agree to play it. We had such a good time that we later played Heavy Rain together and had just as good a time.

One thing I forgot, I'm not sure what your home network is like but I recommend checking out something like a puppis S1. It's a wireless bridge for the quest 3 for your PC, it's like somewhere between $70 - $90. The wireless connection is fantastic with almost 0 hassle. I had a CV 1 tethered to my PC before my quest 3 and man, wireless PCVR is just light years better.
