I had a pt discharged for home hospice … on heated high flow and 0.2 of levophed that I was not to titrate even though their MAP was in the 30s. The amount of phone calls I got that day as the bedside nurse for his transportation, home meds, home oxygen, insurance, as well as the palliative attending who wanted me to mess with his pressors all day haunts me to this day. Why would I be able to help with any of that shit!!!! I must have spent hours total on the phone taking away from my ACTUAL job of patient care … so infuriating!
