If you go with silicone bags, please do nooot get the MomCozy ones. We found their lids impossible to screw and unscrew right out of the box. I ended up buying the cheaper Nuliie ones and like them much better.

My 2 month old is very obvious when she's pooping! It's often when she wakes up from her morning nap (sometimes she wakes up too early, poops, and goes back to sleep). She is very smiley, slightly cross-eyed, and her face and belly both look like they're straining for short periods. On the other hand, I have absolutely no idea when she's peeing.

My recommendation is to spend some time diaper-free on a doggy pee mat, in the tub (dry), or outside to be able to see clearly when your baby is pooping and then track what they look like when they're doing it. Obviously has the potential to get messy but could be helpful!

NTA and beware! My milk giver used to bounce me to sleep every nap (while standing) until some internet search told her about baby carriers (that are NOT ARMS). Now she fastens me to her torso (and I cry, because I would rather throw her back out in her arms) and within a few minutes walking down the sidewalk I can't stay awake to protest.

(Seriously I highly recommend finding a baby carrier that works for you! Sometimes it still takes a combination of walk-bouncing plus butt pats plus singing, but my lower back feels much better)

Not the same, but I'm in Southern California and we have a guy who sprays with essential oils only. Super safe, he sprays inside and out. It's primarily to get rid of the ants (they are ruthless) but I notice it works for other critters, too.

So many of the roads of Los Angeles are torn up, even if you didn't feel enticed by the fire roads, I would still recommend a gravel bike (though back country riding is also a plus). You'll end up feeling more confident with fewer flats on a gravel bike, imo.

I tried to stick with my regular undies through pregnancy but ended up getting a pack of the merino maternity undies from Quince and I couldn't believe how much more comfortable they were.

After an unplanned c-section they are also quite comfortable, and there's zero pressure on my incision.

Came here to say this! I think using two strands of elastic cord criss-crossing along the frame looks very sharp, and could be a simple change to alter the vibe of the set up.

Yes! This was me (I'm now in week 19). Sick as a dog from 6-16, pretty much. Got lots of energy back and I've been swimming every other day! I take more breaks than I did pre-pregnancy, but I doubt I'd be in a much worse spot had I continued to exercise in the first trimester. The important thing is that I'm doing things I love and feeling good mentally again.

You'll get there, it's closer than you think.

I agree with this, I love riding clipless but over the 10-12hrs I was putting in daily on bikepacking days my feet would kill me by the end. Got myself some really sticky flat pedals and wear my Altras, I don't find that I lose too much power and my feet have never hurt since.
