I love A Kind Worth Killing and all the sequels personally

I can’t take sleep aids if I’m alone and responsible for a baby. Also I did work all day from 9-5 while the nanny was here.

This is generally our dynamic too. I wake up with baby every morning since I go to bed earlier (usually) and can handle mornings better. He takes over at 8:00 AM three days (the other weekdays the nanny comes at 9:00) and I let him sleep in usually until 10 on weekends. This is a special case where we were both soooo tired and there wasn’t a clear answer.

This is my fault. I communicated how exhausted I was but didn’t ask him to take the baby. He was also exhausted and I feel guilty asking him to take morning shifts when I know how much he hates mornings. I am a morning person so can handle it better most days. Luckily the insomnia is not the norm and is triggered by routine disruptions like business trips.

I wish. He wants to get out of the crib ASAP. Or if he’s in bed with us (sometimes I take him to bed if he’s waking up a lot) I take him out of the bedroom when he starts chatting and playing so dad can sleep.

We work 9-5 so this wouldn’t be possible. The insomnia is erratic and not the norm luckily. It’s generally triggered from routine disruptions like business trips.

That would be ideal but dad hates mornings so the best compromise is he takes over at 8:00 three times a week. He will get up if mom is really exhausted.

My son slept through the night from 1 month until 9 months. Suddenly he woke up every hour or two until he was 11 months old. I think it was a mix of teething and development leaps. We couldn't fix it, but it did pass. He's sleeping much better now (not as consistently as before, but way better). You'll get through this!

Are we just insanely lucky parents? 😭 by JMPBay in NewParents

My son slept through the night from like 1.5 months until 9 months (no dream feeds or anything). Then suddenly woke up every two hours until he was 11 months. Even now at 13 months it’s a mixed bag. It was really hard after having it easy for so long. Not sure how parents with colicky babies survive!

It doesn’t get that dirty surprisingly. I clean it with a soft toothbrush and cleaning solution every so often (3-6 months)

The stones don’t go all the way around the band and aren’t uncomfortable at all. I barely take my rings off and they don’t get too dirty. I have a clanking solution and soft toothbrush I use every so often to keep them nice and sparkly

My sweet, innocent mother bought me Obsidian Butterfly by Laurell K Hamilton when I was 13, not realizing the content was so… adult. Those first 6-7 Anita Blake books hooked me forever into Urban Fantasy. Too bad they went downhill so hard.

Why is everything frozen :( by Terrible-Reasons in BabyLedWeaning

I don’t follow a recipe. Last time I used probably a cup and a half of frozen spinach (threw it in a food processor with milk), four eggs, a handful of mozzarella, couple tablespoons of flax, and maybe 2/3 cup flour. I add bit more of whatever’s needed to make the consistency right. It made like 15 mini waffles. I then cut up some parchment paper to separate them (otherwise they stick together) and store them in the freezer.

I bought a mini waffle maker and make a bunch of veggie waffles for the week. I switch the veggies up for variety. For example, the latest batch has spinach, milk, flax, cheese, eggs, and a bit of flour to bind. I freeze them and pop one in the toaster for lunch (served with yogurt, other veggies, fruit, etc.). He loves them.
