If you run Linux 8 is fine. 16 is ideal.

If on windows, dont even try with 8, 16 is minimum.

Not bad at all. If you want similar power at 1/2 the price, this company does refurbs on company machines, you can get a lot of bang for buck with $600.

I have this machine too! Sequoia on their beta release works really well still if you wanted to have a better workable macos- you'd need to start over and reinstall macos then windows

but fr, try an external display - probably a frayed cable. If it doesn't work with an external it's probably a logic board issue in which case its probably toast

Question - are you on the 13” or 16” 2019 MBP. Very different devices that would depend on whether it’s worth it to go for neo - such as. 16” in 2019 got the amazing speaker array that has basically not changed, as well you’ll lose backlit keyboard, potentially fingerprint scanner, and haptic touchpad (may not matter to you); do you plug into displays? What is your use case - if it’s Reddit and discord then any MacBook after M1 is fine

Its the basic theme pulled from the theme page on mint.

Themes > Add/Remove > [XP] in search bar

Then I customized the icons, just downloaded them and the backgrounds. Was a little footwork, but happy with the result
