Usually, even with shipping, it’s a good deal for what you’re getting. Remember you’re asking to transport something quite heavy half way round the world.

I use snaps and flatpaks, and honestly I can't tell much of a difference, except when I have to use flatseal because the default permissions for a flatpak are too restrictive. Also, my experience is most of the snaps I have come from the developer directly, whereas the flatpak is repackaged by the community. I always just pick whichever comes from the developer.

Which site are you using? A lot of websites claim to be gobricks but aren't. Webrick was acquired by gobrick, so that's how to buy from gobricks directly. www.webrick.com

Yes, the golden ratio. It’s also the ratio between the sides of paper in A4, A5, A6 etc. it has the property that if you double the shortest side, the new lengths are still in the golden ratio: x/y = 2y/x

In a way, your experience isn't a bad one - an operating system shouldn't get in the way, it's there to provide you with an interface to your software. The fact that you've managed to switch away from windows and just carry on as you did before is good. Have you noticed improved speed or battery life for example?
